  1. I was offered the car last week before they listed it and passed for several reasons too numerous to list, and glad I did after see Tom's post . I really don't need any more Riviera 's according to my wife ! I actually have a bought a couple of cars from them over the years and have been satisfied to this point . Suggested they change the engine color, compressor bracket and compressor and steering wheel . Can't tell If they did the engine color by the photos but I obviously none of the other things . I suspect if someone came in at. $50-52 K they might buy it - just not my cup of tea . Thanks Jan for getting the info out originally . KReed ROA 14549
  2. Sorry Winston - I mistakenly assumed folks would know that a rear view mirror is the one on the windshield inside the car - sorry for any confusion . I call the others driver door or passenger door outside mirrors w/wo remote . Anyway still need help. Thanks KReed ROA 14549
  3. My rear view mirror needs resilvering . Found a guy in Iowa that resilvers but he will not take it out of the frame . If anyone has a nice one , I would pay good dollars for it . Mine is driving me crazy ! Thanks KReed ROA 14549,
  4. Beautiful car Steve- is that verde green ? Would look great with red lines or a 1 inch white wall . KReed ROA 14549

  7. I just finished 5 wheels for my 66GS . Followed Jason Zerbini's advice ( always good! ) of the Seymour Gray Cast rattle can . Taped them with blue tape. Very pleased at color - taping is another story but good enough for government work. KReed ROA 14549
  8. The car is now listed at Daniel Schmitt Classic Car Gallery in St Louis ,MO. $ 59,900. KReed ROA 14549

  13. Definitely not the one that sold at Goodings three years ago! I tried to bid on that car but never got my paddle up in the air since the two guys in front of me never took them down until it sold at $111K + 10% buyers premium. Interestingly ,Same car sold last year at Barrett's for $65 K . I think I know who bought this car. ( dealer ) but will not say anything until I know for sure . KReed ROA 14549
  14. Sorry do not have either and in fact most of the items are long gone. . Will refresh the list pretty soon. The fan shroud was a one year only shroud so fairly tough to find and were only use on cars with AC . Thanks for the inquiry though. KReed ROA 14549
  15. Thanks all - great advice . Recore it is! KReed ROA 14549
  16. Great suggestion ! Didn't enter my mind they could recore it. Thanks much . KReed ROA 14549
  17. I am repainting my 66 GS and have it pretty much torn apart. The heater has not been working well so I thought while I have it part, I Would change the heater core . It is a non AC car . The only ones I can find don't look like they would work as my inlet and outlet hoses are far apart in the heater box . What I am missing . Never done this before . See pics below .Probably obvious to the real experts but I don't want to order the wrong thing . Thanks for the advice . KReed ROA 14549 PS . That is not my engine bay but hope it will look that good when I get done .
  18. I really appreciate everyone's kind responses --all good here . Now let's have some warm weather and have some fun ! KReed ROA 14549
  19. Absolutely no problem - agree it's a wonderful forum . Thanks KReed ROA 14549
  20. Wow! I have been stewing about this for a couple of days now and need to get it off my chest . Sorry to hear that I am "bending people over and being arrogant " . Those are my parts that are being commented on. You might first try finding them in NOS condition before making snide remarks which I personally find very offensive . You might also notice that they contain "make an offer " which I will gladly entertain with particular attention ALWAYS given to an ROA member if it is known to me . It seems there are more and more critical remarks like these recently - something that does not add anything of significant or meaningful value to the usually very helpful discussions on this forum . If you don't like a price for a particular car or part , perhaps silence is a better, more gentlemanly approach or at least contact the seller to discuss if you have a serious interest in something . If you're just a "tire-kicker " with nothing more to do than criticize, then maybe a happier day job is in order.. Enough said . I feel better now and no hard feelings to anyone . KReed ROA 14549 PS . If anyone is ACTUALLy interested in the above parts, PM me and I am happy to discuss
  21. Hi Gene - I no longer need one but Big Ricky apparently does .Thanks KReed ROA 14549
  22. Wow! Good point . Haven’t touched it yet . You are correct, it is definitely NOT a board . Thanks for the input . KReed ROA 14549
  23. Thanks Barney and Randy- appreciate the great advice. Will keep you updated. KReec ROA 14549
  24. Appreciate all the help . I am going to try the simple things first , like the Stop Leak , as soon as the weather warms up .I really would prefer not to tear it apart again unless absolutely necessary . I don’t know about the rest of you but little crap like this makes me crazy (ier) . Will keep you informed . KReed ROA14549
  25. Thanks Tom and Ed - definitely a break in the circuit on at least one and probably both lines . Will try to repair as I suspect they are impossible to find used . Tearing into my “ beater 66 “ for the Winter project . At the paint shop now . Taking off the “ painted in a sandstorm black lacquer “ and returning to original gunmetal gray - a color I had never seen before . This is the car that I bought on EBay a few years ago that the owner said had a 8/10 paint job from all the 100 photoshopped pictures he sent . He obviously didn’t understand that 10 was the best , not the worst ! Thankfully , it was a California car for most of its life and has very little rust but looks like it’s had more than one paint job . I learned that lesson the hard way . He suddenly disappeared after I complained to him when the car arrived . Not the first mistake I’ve made and sure he won’t be the last 😒! Before and during pics KReed ROA 14549
