Gas Tank Needed - 1964 Rambler American
plymouthcranbrook replied to over60's topic in General Discussion
You might google a company called Gas Tank Renue USA. Some here have had success with them. Also if not too damaged a local radiator repair shop might be able to help. I don’t know of anyone selling replacement tanks for Ramblers but you could also post in the AMC section below. And I expect there is an AMC Owners club out there on the web. Marque clubs are often great sources of information. -
Something you don't see everyday Not mine and as always I don't get bleep if it sells. Still someone might be looking for a significant project. https://www.ebay.com/itm/175085166720?mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5337836973&customid=500050&toolid=10001&mkevt=1

After viewing the first page and seeing the prices paid it looks more to me like an old salvage yard was sold off rather than any kind of collection.. -
The first drive of 2022.....

I would but todays forecast of 6-9 inches of snow makes me think again. -
I owned both a 63 two door with a four speed and a 64 turbo and really enjoyed them. I was 19 or so and drove the bleep out of them. When we got married my wife owned a 65 yellow convertible that we kept till all these darned children started showing up. When I bought my first classic 20 years ago I seriously considered looking for another Corvair. But a Plymouth turned up first.

Certainly looks like a Mopar flathead six. They had many uses beyond cars and trucks. I don’t recognize the prefix of the number as far as I can read it so I would guess an industrial purpose built.

In my misspent youth I also dabbled in worn out British sports cars. A TR3 and a TR4A were in the mix. Always lusted after a TR250 or a TR6 but even then prices were way away from me. The ones I had seemed to need one hour of repair for every five hours running but maybe that was the cars being worn out already and me being young and dumb. Like Marty and others have said although being only 71(Only 71, the kid in the room) and arthritic getting out of one would involve a crew and and a frame lift at minimum.

If I keep the heat on low and turn off the lights and most importantly hide my wife’s credit cards I might just make it maybe. If nothing breaks… -
Not mine but I like it.
