  1. Congratulations! Nice to see a Buickful car on the road again! Enjoy!
  2. Just a thought.....this might be the name of the plating company. Maybe they were very proud of their work, or wanted traceability. Matt
  3. Not mine............ Wow. I've got two extra sets...............If this sells for this price, I'll even fix the dingers and polish the extra one I might consider to get rid of. 1948 BUICK ROADMASTER CONVERTIBLE STAINLESS STEEL BELT LINE TRIM 4 PCS | eBay Matt:D
  4. I would love to be @ South Bend, Indiana next year. And, still is within my possibilities. Regardless of whether my car is ready or not, I will try to make it to New York for their big meet this year. Matt
  5. Jim, Well done my friend. Cannot wait to meet you and the car in person. Matt
  6. Brian, I personally will say that you have done a fine job as President and it was great to speak with you, face to face at Hershey last year. I also look for great things to continue happening within our great organization. We all are depending on the board to help direct us where and how we need to move forward. Matt
  7. Keith, Good luck on getting the RM home. Hope it is a successful day. Matt
  8. Then you have to consider that if you run a diesel compressor, you have to fill it up before you return it to the rental place. I also noticed the fresh red paint on the tires and door handles. Want me to consider something......show a real junkyard car, hard core rust and paint removal and then show the end result. Matt
  9. Buickful looking car! Hope to see that car in person one day! Not too far away from me. Nice! Thanks for sharing. Matt

  13. Jim, Did you unbold the steering column bolts? They might have been overlooked as they also hold the dash on. Matt
  14. Really gonna miss being there with all you crazy guys. I hope I can make it next year. Enjoy fellas and I wanna see a lot of pictures. Matt
  15. the car is quite the adventure.....I'm learning lots of new things. I am recovering the frames and I cannot lie, I had the actual seat cover pleating sewed for me. Was quite economical. But, it still is a little of an on-taking stretching everything and hog ringing everything down. Thanks for the comments, but honesty is my policy and I don't wanna lead anyone on. Matt
  16. Well, I've worked on the mustache bar a little bit more. Thanks to Smartin' I'm getting better at polishing. Got a lot more to do before I change out to the next polishing bonnett. I also worked on some seat stuff. It's not the best looking and i still have some more sewing and adjusting to do to the bench, but I'm happy with my results. It might not be factory patterns, but it works for me.
  17. Thanks John, worked everything out and all is good. Will have my rims and tires after the meet is over. Matt:D
  18. Robert, Maybe a shot??? http://forums.aaca.org/f117/1950-1951-1952-buick-parts-330624.html#post1048287 Matt
  19. I'm trying to get 4 rims and tires from another member. I live 5 blocks up off of I-81. Matt
  20. I got out to the 18th annual local car show today......Since the Buick is still under construction, I drove a 38' Desoto convertible with a rumbleseat! Several, but not many Buicks there.... but over 400+ cars there. Let all who wanted sit in the car and in the rumbleseat. A very beautiful day out with my kids.
  21. Do you have any good radiators available? For a 52'? Thanks
  22. Is anyone from Northeast PA or Upstate New York going? If you are driving and have some room for 4 rims/tires coming home, please PM me. Thanks Matt
  23. Adam, sorry to hear that the trunk repair didn't work out. You are a very good metal man and if you can't make it work, noone will. Hopefully the next one needs nothing but some sanding and primer! :DMatt
