If you have lost that much fluid, your pump is probably empty, thus no cylinders will move. Need to replace the top cylinders, then fill with oil.........Matt

the top cylinders should be identical left to right. Are you having problems with drivers, or passenger door? Sounds like you might have small problem with switch. Matt

hood is now in primer. did dental work for 6.5 hours today. repairing the mustache bar was a chore in itself. Still not completely happy with it. still have 1/2 of the teeth to go and will probably work on some more details on the teeth before I start polishing them. I'll post pictures when I get further along. Interior material is ordered so I can make door panels and cover the seats. Matt:) -
Congrats Robert and glad you are finally getting her out on the road and have some brakes! Cool on your second place trophy and glad you had a great time. Car looks great. Keep up the good work! Matt

Retiring and moving to 1954 Buick Avenue

Where do I send the down payment for 1947 Roadmaster Circle? I would think that a drive in food joint should be located somewhere outside the perimeter of the neighborhood. We should also accomodate somewhere on our Buickfull community, a place for project vehicles so they are safe and sound. Matt:D -

1947 Buick Series 50 conv. hydraulic pump problem
jackofalltrades70 replied to a topic in Buick - Post War
Tom, It sounds to me that you might have a missing or bad connection between the two switches on the drivers door. Both switches should have power. Either switch should turn on the pump and the switch for the drivers door should open then solenoid on the window cylinder for the driver and the passenger switch likewise for the passenger door. Might check the "jumper" plates between the switches and make sure that they aren't insulated from the posts. Could be that they might be centered just right so they aren't touching anything?? Wonderful day @ Hershey on Saturday. Saw quite a few cars out and about at some little car shows here and there. Sunday I worked on the front clip removing a really nasty boo-boo that was put in the front fender somehow or another before I got it. I worked on the clip some more today, and managed to "manuver" it into place and bolt it back on the car. It Fits!!!!!!!!!! I still have more work to do to it, but I was needing floor space in the other stall of the garage for the hood and rear fenders and pontoons, etc. Also received the cowl insulator from Bob's and popped a picture of it. Just have to finish the hydraulic lines and it will go in. Still waiting........................7 weeks later for the wiring harness........3-4 weeks is a really long time. Progress is good! Matt:D -
Been very busy on the convertible......Got the new firewall insulator I ordered from Bob's. gotta finish the hydraulic lines so I can install it. Still waiting for the wiring harness.......................... Dunno how I did it, but I put the front clip on myself. I waited and waited but never had any help show up. Matt:D

46 1/2" at longest point, 15 1/2" at narrowest height point, the widest part (height) is too difficult to measure because of curvature. There are 6 holes for attaching trim. This is off of 4 door car, I believe. Too short for convertible. 2 door RM is longer yet. So, 4 door is probably what it's off of. Matt

I'm so glad I was able to sidetrack you! Nice pictures and some very exciting projects you have there! I'm here to help, when needed! Ha! Got my new cowl insulator set today. Gotta finish the hydraulic lines tomorrow so I can get the insulator installed. Wiring harness is up for final wrapping tomorrow and should ship to me before the weekend! Matt:D
