I need to find two glass retaining channels for my doors on the Roamaster convertible. I have them for my Super, but they are not the same. Anyone have any laying around? Thanks to all. Matt:) -

Praying for Brian and your family. And prayers going out to all of our wonderful servicemen and women. God Bless all of you! -
On my 47 convertible, the floor pans are similar back to the rear seat on a 76S car. Then they are different. But, the section over the rear and the trunk are the same. It's deceiving because the trunk section is different and the doors on the 2 door sedan are longer. But, it will work. Hopefully it's the same with a 52. Matt:)

how to protect cars stored outside from mice?
jackofalltrades70 replied to jerry whitfield's topic in General Discussion
I purchase an item at my RV center that I put on top of the tires and on the ground around the bottom of the RV. Non toxic and I never have any rodents. It's called Shake Away. I've had very good results with my RV and my corvette. Matt -
Me either! But hey, let em have fun with it!

Postal, Just a few tips....If you are gonna drop a battery in this thing, make sure it's outside, away from buildings and make sure you have a fire extinguisher handy. Not trying to deter you, but if the electrical system shorts and catches fire, you are not gonna want it in a building if you cannot put out the fire. You are gonna want to drop the fuel tank, check/replace fuel lines, clean out the tank, you will probably have to look over the carburetor very well, if not rebuild it. Change oil/filter. Pull the plugs and spray PB blaster in the holes and let it sit for a day or so, then do it again. You won't want to just drop a battery and crank it after sitting so long. You could break the rings if theres a rust ridge on the cylinder walls. Not necissarily in that order. There's more things, but these will keep you busy for awhile..... I wasn't trying to bust you about the price....just nice to know, just in case. Matt:D

1947 56C Project "Can't finish unless you start"
jackofalltrades70 replied to jackofalltrades70's topic in Me and My Buick
Pictures as promised! Might not look like much, but I see a lot of advancements. No more bullet holes anywheres! Cannot even see where they were. As I work away at the panels, I keep finding little dingers and dents here and there that keep me from finishing. The door and fender extensions are probably the worst and most work right now. The big caved in area behind the passenger door is done. Matt:D -
Very nice and looks workable! I see two engines?? Did one have a problem? front bumper and grill look really nice! With some elbow grease and lots of determination, mixed with a whole lot of $$$$ and you're gonna have a beautiful car!

Lamar, Thanks for the comments. I work on the car when I can. Weekends always seem to be the ideal time where I can work on it the most. I usually get up at 6:30 every other Saturday and 6:30 every Sunday, head out to the garage and work 4-5 hours before everyone in the house wakes up and then I make breakfast. I have to work every other Saturday for 1/2 day. This weekend, I got up around 9am both days, but still got a lot done. (at least in my eyes). I'll try to post some pictures later. Some days during the week, I'll get out in the garage for an hour or so and piddle with some bodywork. Matt
