  1. Pete, I think the car was a 78 series. The seat frame is shorter than my Roadmaster convertible seat. I can get measurements for you if you like. I have the seat track in the garage I believe. The seats are being stored inside a 76S shell outside. Matt
  2. BTT How about $100.00 o.b.o. I can bring it to Hershey........................Matt
  3. Front and rear bumpers from my 48 Oldsmobile. Chrome peeling off, but are decent cores. $200.00 delivered to Hershey, if you like. Thanks Matt
  4. Hershey special. $300.00 delivered to Hershey. I also have front and rear bumpers and other odds and ends. Matt
  5. When working on the sheet metal, your best bet is to use the butt clamps that are available "everywhere". Harbor freight even sells them. keeps the sheets very close together. when using mig welder, take your time and work in small areas at a time. Stitch it together. Hirsh sells a nice product to put on the floors after you have repaired the panels. Similar to POR. Many people are using fiberglass over their pans to "seal" them and I don't see anything wrong with this practice either. You'll never see it anyways. Feel free to see my pans in my thread on my convertible. I did a little work on the floor pans there. Hope that is some help. Matt
  6. John, Sorry I couldn't make it up. Just am still in catch up mode since my health problems started. I'm trying to get Hershey by me before I set up my surgery because I really don't want to mess up that week. I promise we'll meet soon and I'll be there with the convertible next year, if I can get back to work on it and finish her up. Matt
  7. Beautiful car. Your father had very good taste! And greater yet, you are continuing the legacy with this wonderful Buick! May your father R.I.P. and please stay tuned in to the board and consider becoming a BCA member and attending meets, if possible. There is a wonderful group of guys within the several clubs in Australia! Matt
  8. Just to think...............cars were a lot cheaper then, but they were still able to give away so many cars every year! Matt
  9. Mark, Welcome aboard! You have a really nice car there and I commend you for restoring her, but also warn that you keep motivated and we here on the forum can help you stay motivated! Feel free to ask any and all questions you might have. Almost all of us have threads about the vehicles we are or have restored. Most have nice, detailed instructions or pictures to see progress. Good luck. Matt
  10. lookin great, Anderson! Nice work and attention to detail. You're coming along very nicely with the job on the convertible. Matt
  11. Tadaaaaa. That's what this forum is all about. Good job guys and Welcome to the Forum Dan! You might want to check with the Buick Club of America section of the forum. 12. Marc, First off, if you've wanted to go, and have the chance now, by all means GO! I have been going for the past 4 years and have thoroughly enjoyed myself every time I go. I only live 2.5 hrs from there and haul my family and camping trailer to a local campground so the family can have a good time while I have my GREAT time. I take the time to visit with people from the car clubs that I am affiliated with, look for "Whitaker Cable" automobile stuff and 47 Buick Convertible parts. I truly don't think I have any more fun except when I'm working on my car. I don't know what it was like 30 or so years ago, but the show, for me is a "cannot miss" Just my humble opinion. Matt
  13. Tom, The car I parted out, this trim was really destroyed and has since went to the big yard in the sky.......I saved what was salvageable. I'll keep my eye out though. Matt
  14. Bernie, You shouldn't have any problems getting the upholstery back on your seats correctly. Hey, if I can do it, so can you. It especially helps if you took of the old stuff.....Matt
  15. Thanks Lynn. A friend and I are getting the spots together. I got the form, just need to make sure we get this done. Thanks Matt
