HELP wanted! 1929 Graham Paige 612 runs like a tractor
Graham Man replied to nacmlamerikx's topic in Graham & Paige
Johnson was junk when it was made, Graham-Paige only used them one year, then went to Detroit Lubricators (also expensive), Have never used Zenith, Strombergs are good. I run a Carter BB1 (1 1/4") on my 610 and 45, starts and runs great. They are getting more expensive. I look for them at swap meets. https://www.ebay.com/itm/185977926492?epid=5010773560&hash=item2b4d25f35c:g:v4gAAOSwX0phroNn&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4D7LpUhHcdgqfjIN9L4Gzg9xCzqxFgM8U%2FvG80V3zIY57p7haIcnUiEYmx37bbOuYsRfota%2BrANxYoTFU7OK%2Fh9Cr2iFXjN4JyTgKxqArzDQvxNluSY%2Bp5kyPDZ8Wo9qda%2Bd7T9WG87n3N0R29aEwunbmakD7X6KPAxlwgWavNDBTrG61h8qteb316%2F5gS95gQ4v8Zv3w4pnSaAQcgg4w%2FbKWHOcY01ox6EM4u9YBSw8gTlrRV2Nk6PeHjIWuVvnfd%2BpzpROJqp9Z798Ej3NWQKefi3qSV6rBAi9%2Fv3plpJw|tkp%3ABFBM3MmH1qli -

You guys come up with the best pictures! 1930 Graham-Paige 827 Roadster ... I know you are thinking it could be a Big Six 621... only the Eight had dual rear view mirrors, six also had less hood vents. I must be getting old she looks like she is 16.... guess she would be 109 now. -
1928 external expanding 1929 (1928 1/2) internal on...1941 Graham-Paige All Lockheed brakes

Careful on the firing order, these are set up just like a Dodge, you have to index the distributer drive when installing the cam shaft so most likely it is about 15 degees off (from factory pictures), just check number 1 TDC. -
Should be three tags, body number, serial number, paint code. If you are looking for the serial number of the car, it is under the radiator on the frame cross member. Most cars before 1950 are registered to the engine number.
-
Rolls-Royce had a flat spot on the top of the radiator, Moon was a peak My guess is 1919, hard to find a Rolls with wood wheels, not many with hood vents...

Car identity please - Determined to be an Essex!
Graham Man replied to zipdang's topic in What is it?
I am going to go with 1927 Essex Sedan (might be a super six?) I am not an Essex expert. Should be an Essex club somewhere. Good Luck -

I can"t find the right size brake shoes. 1930 chrysler
Graham Man replied to ken77's topic in General Discussion
3X on the Brake Wharehouse in MN, my friend had his 1932 Nash shoes relined, he could lock up all 4 wheels on pavement with mechanical brakes. The right people with the right parts makes all the diference. Might want to have them put stainless steel lineres in your wheel cylinders while you are at, it they will do your master cylinder also. https://brakeandequipment.com/ -
The front wheel hubcap made it extra easy to confirm. I would say the picture is early 1930's. Curious on the occasion, she looks to be wearing riding pants, my guess is newlyweds.

If you like the look and you find a car that has an original one, take a nice picture, simple part to water jet or laser cut (need background contrast). Thickness and size are numbers you need, the rest is digital magic. Guessing you might be able to get it done under $100. The Coker Underslung dose not have one.
