  1. Selling a pair of original 65-66 Buick Riviera GS Dual Quad Carburetors 3925s & 3645s. Good complete cores, not corroded or pitted to to death. Comes with original fuel line, vacuum T-fitting(rare) and linkage. $1400 shipped
  2. Selling a very nice original 63-65 Riviera Manual Antenna. Chrome is nice, operates super clean and straight. $250 shipped.
  3. I have installed more than a dozen Edelbrock chokes on Buick and Caddy AFB's and really like them. Mind you, I am in SoFla, so I can only comment on this appication in my weather. If you are trying do this in freezing weather, more tuning may be necessary. The E-brock choke bolts on, but I swap the actuator arm(the one that passes throught the hpusing to the choke arm) with the original. Will bolt in, no mods neccessary. I typically tap into the heater for power(at fuse box), but I like Rivnut's method, that is better. They last a long time. The one on my 64 KX Riv is 10 years old and still works great. When done, you hit the gas once, choke sets and hit the key, that's it. I know Carbking loves the stock chokes, but I have never been able to get one to work as it should, at least not consistently.
  4. After all the Riv's iI have taken apart and put back together, the windows are by far the hardest part of the whole car. I have aligned windows in other GM same era and was typically much easier. Buick was not kidding when then said these cars were hand fit. I have worked on low mileage, super original Riv's and from factory a lot of windows were not aligned properly. Close, but not perfect. BTW: I highly recommend to anyone replacing glass to NOT put 63 glass in unless they have a 63 and want it super original, or have no choice and can't find glass. The bolt in glass is way superior, there is no glue to come undone. There is a reason they did a running change with it.
  5. Gene, I spoke to you on the phone last week and said I wanted to buy both from you along withe more parts. You said you had you had medical stuff and a something else and you would get back with me the week after. What happened?
  6. Yes I do. PM me contact info, will get you pics and a price. Thanks!
  7. Hi Dan, will call you tomorrow. I am going to PM my # also. Thanks and have a good night! Dave
  8. I have what you need. PM me contact info
  9. The specs are out there for the springs, appx 400lbs-in for the fronts if I remember right for AC application. I sell custom 700lbs-ish springs for Riv's and the difference is night/day in handling. The compressor alone weights easy 40-50lbs, plus brackets, lines, etc. So it adds up fast.
  10. I have a tank that is out of car if you need pics/dimensions.
  11. Ported is factory and correct. You need to verify a couple a things if you are getting detonation. Is your car a factory dual quad car? Original distributor? Check the base/total timing? This is where you start.
  12. I agree, nobody now puts a thought into how much weight the options add. My 64 KX was ordered to be a fast TX highway car. Has KX option, PW, AC, std interior and that's it
  13. Just from experience as I have stripped a lot of Riviera's, I would guess AC in the 100-120lbs range. Compressor, lines and brackets add up quick. Other options, probably 3-25lbs, depending. Power windows would add about 50-65lbs, appx. Interesting thread, I would like to hear more too.
  14. The green pads will scratch the glass like sandpaper, don't even try. The blue ones are very lightly abrasive. I would try ammonia or white vinegar and see what happens.
  15. Step 1, this sounds like voltage is dying at the coil. Get volt meter, turn ign on and check voltage at coil(should be 12v or close to it). If not, check your coil wire under dash. Probably cooked. PM me, will guide you through repair. FYI, it's probably your switch that caused it. More to it.
  16. I would recommend not using regular steel wool or a razor blade on glass. I can't tell you how many times I have tried and ended up with fine scratches in the glass. Try synthetic steel wool(abrasive platic) or a blue Scotchbrite pad and different levels of cleaner. The less abrasive you use, the better.
  17. How long did car run? Sometimes it's just condensation in the exhaust. Needs to run for more than 10-15min usually to clear out. Try it and report back.
  18. What color smoke? How much? How long was car off the road while doing the repairs?
  19. There is no plug on the bottom of the dual quad manifolds. Only the single quad ones had them.
  20. Hi, sorry for the late reply, I just saw your response. I am in west Broward, near Pembroke Pines. If you are coming across the alley, you'll be right near me as you come across. Will PM you contact info, call me and will see what you need.
  21. 66 still had 45 fin. The 65/66 are unique. Like Tom said, the early ones can be machined, but cheaper/easier to buy the right ones.
