  1. Couldn't agree more! My '50 made it to Concord and back, 2000 miles. Yours should do it as well. Jump in and get your feet wet. Ben
  2. Good answer. Especially the "enshrine" comment. And the last line is very apt. Ben
  3. 1900 MILES?? That is neat. Maybe you could start a new thread in ME and My Buick and fill us in in the history and perhaps a few pictures. Ben
  4. Excellent, as usual. Still only one problem. IT IS NOT BIG ENOUGH:cool: . Ben
  5. 1937 Airflow. See Photo and Video forum, "a post war pic of a prewar airflow"-- 2 days ago. Ben
  6. Jake , you must spend more time on the computer than me. Looks like a nice start for a build, but a little pricey, especially sans engine. Ben
  7. Nice shots, Mike. That ,50 was in Ames. Hope all of you are enjoying yourselves! Ben
  8. Very nice, Bernie. I would be proud of those, as I know you are. Ben
  9. Not that far since he will be in ST LOUIS tomorrow! Ben
  10. Dave, Per '50 shop manual, which is the oldest I have, but bearings are the same. Tighten bearings with a 10'' wrench until bearing is preloaded at least one hex. Rotate wheel one revolution to be sure bearing is seated. Back off spindle nut until bearing is slightly loose. Tighten until all bearing looseness is just removed.Line up nut to closest cotter pin hole and install cotter pin. CAUTION; bearing preload must not exceed 1/12 turn of spindle nut. Hope this helps. Ben
  11. dude, if like the '50, pretty difficult. But then, my back glass is three piece and windshield is two piece. Ben
  12. WillBilly, I bought mine for the '50 from Cars, Inc. It came from Steele. Ben
  13. Adam, you have done a great job!! Sorry I will not get to see the Limited and you at the Heartland meet. Ben
  14. Now that is a DAUGHTER in law to cherish. Congratulations! And Happy Birthday. Ben
  15. Dave, if I missed it, has the radiator been pulled and rodded and boiled out? If not ,for what my thoughts are worth, you are p***ing in the wind. I have NEVER seen and old vehicle that overheats that could be "fixed" otherwise. Perhaps you will be the exception. Hope so. Ben
  16. Rob, I think it is great that you are going to bat for him,but is he even still in the game? He has failed to answer your question from 1st day. Ben
