Why haven't we had a Krispy Kreme post in a long time?

I dunno, I spent all my formative years (18 - 28) practically living in the only KK in Minnesota at the time. Then we went through several years with NO KKs here..... arrrgggg.

The came back a couple years ago, but the new stores are so trendy and uptown now..... it's just not the same.

Of course the old KK shop here was so different than the company stores I saw in Virginia it's no wonder they were a little cautious about opening a new store here.

They still taste pretty good tho.

And where do we get those tires?

Well I was going to post, but I'm trying to avoid getting TOSSED over to the Rants and Raves... I do enough of that with the kid lately...

However... come to think of it, I really could use some KK's, guess I'll have to head up there tomorrow and pick me up a couple of dozen... hrrm... might should make it 3 dozen so I have one to share...

haha Fun picture! the tires look sea worthy too.

Krispy Kreme opened their first store in MA. this summer. The lines and amount of traffic was insane! The news reported the highest sales ever for an opening of KK. They had to setup a tent to make sort of an express lane - had police directing traffic at least for the first week. Still when I pass by there - I always see a full parking lot.

Good donuts - I don't like their coffee. I need my Dunkin Donuts coffee.

Colleen has pointed out that buying three dozen donuts so I can share ONE donut is not a valid excuse to buy three dozen donuts. Based on this and knowing that money is tight at the moment, I proposed to buy 4 dozen so we could get the 2 and 4th dozens at a discount. Somehow I believe she failed to see the logic in this. I knew she was too perfect... she just had to like [color:"red"] MY KK's! Ah well, guess I can live with this imperfection

Some one picks them up and then drives most of the night to get t hem here. OK, this has been troubling me since I first saw it. You know, that sort of nagging little thing that goes on in ones mind..........

well anyway, about that monster/race/whaterever KK truck in the attachemnet BruceW posted in the second message in this thread.

How many laps/miles per donut ya suppose they get? Or would it be donuts per mile?

And how does one ever get those things balanced? Just sort of nibble away at them till you hit the sweet spot?

I don't get the time these days to get on and get really involved. Food always does it though. In the early days we could cut up and everyone enjoyed it. These days you have to be so careful not to hurt someones feelings, it's just easier to read only.

Finally home from Hershey and other points East. During the 3 days I spent in Baltimore after visiting my daughter in Southern Maryland, I had to pass a KK store going both to and from my hotel each day.

Further comment is unnecessary. ~ hvs
