rocketraider
Sebastien, how difficult is it to import new vehicles like the Mach-e and the Raptor into France? Does Ford market and sell them there?

Walt G
I can only repeat what has been stated by others THANK YOU for taking the time to post all of these here and let us see what you experienced. Besides the cars I love the views of the buildings with their stone work, the wrought iron railings, shutters etc. Rare to see working /functional shutters in the USA - any you may see are purely decorative. This is just great , please continue to share what you can when you can. 4
Rod P
Amazing the diversity of cars you see at these events Sebastien, lucky those trouble makers doing the burn outs weren't arrested by the Police.😊 Rain or shine, they look like fun events. Thanks again for your insight into modern French car culture. 1

Does Ford market and sell them there? Hello and sorry for my late reply, I was at a car show today and yesterday I worked on my Dodge . No it is not difficult to import a new vehicle from America to France, there will just be a "penalty" (tax) for pollution, .... If we want to buy a new Mustang for €50,000, we will have about €30,000 in tax, and the mustang will therefore cost €80,000. On the other hand, if the car is used (just 2 months is enough), there will be no penalty. This Mustang Mach E and this new Ranger Raptor are sold directly by Ford France, they are available in all Ford dealerships in France. On 9/21/2024 at 4:56 AM, zepher said: That is quite a car show! Yes here the American police cars are very appreciated, people are happy, the children laugh and say hello to us, ... Thank you very much, it's very kind I am very happy that you like the photos, and it encourages me to make new topics on other car exhibitions that I participate in. I like the landscapes and old buildings that I see almost every day on my way to work, ..., and I am happy to share it with the forum. Today with my brother we went with my Dodge to an exhibition at "Lafrançaise" (20 minutes from my home) at the Labaroni castle. The castle is very beautiful and the park too, and there were beautiful cars. I will put photos when I can 5 hours ago, Rod P said: Amazing the diversity of cars you see at these events Sebastien, lucky those trouble makers doing the burn outs weren't arrested by the Police.😊 Rain or shine, they look like fun events. That day there were real French police officers and they were taking pictures in front of the Ford Crown Victoria, and they were also taking pictures with our friends who have the American police cars who were dressed in American police uniforms

Craig I forgot that it was a Mach E , indeed there is no tax for that one. But if we want to buy the latest mustang petrol, we will have a tax to pay. But this tax is also for European cars, if for example we want to buy the latest Renault Megane RS, we will have a tax that is almost the price of the car, so we will pay double. Same for a new Audi RS4, we will pay a big tax. If we do not want to pay tax, we must buy a used car, even if it is only 1 month old, it is considered used and we will not pay tax
