R Walling Posted July 2 Share Posted July 2 I would have thought a better way to remove the wheel lock would have been to use a hole saw around the nut! Larry Schramm Posted July 5 Share Posted July 5 (edited) 13 hours ago, Dave Mellor NJ said: Can warp the wheel Not true, it causes the brake rotor to warp and then the brake pads wear down the "high spot" from the warp/twist and you end up with two thin areas on the brake rotor causing the pulsation when stopping. Always use a torque wrench when installing wheels on vehicles with disc brakes. If a service station does not use a torque wrench, go home and loosen and retorque the lug nuts.
