They were all special orders by famous people such as Elvis presley bob Newhart Evil Kneivel. This car was saved from a guy intending on using it for a demolition derby car. Car has been siting since the 90s. We went though the brake and fuel systems and got it and drove it around the block. Believe it or not it actually drive pretty damn good too. Just don't have the time trying to thin the herd. Don't be afraid to ask ?s or shot offers car will be sold.

Xander Wildeisen
Looks like the passenger side cargo light is working. Might be an easy restoration. 1
Leif in Calif
Actual history would make a huge difference. How are these different than "professional cars"? Although this was just posted, the link says "No longer available". Edited December 18, 2023 by Leif in Calif spelling (see edit history)
m-mman
19 minutes ago, Leif in Calif said: How are these different than "professional cars" Nothing in common, besides the running gear. Cadillac wagons were always built as a modified regular Cadillac. Sometimes Sedan de Ville, sometimes the Fleetwood sedan and sometimes a 2 door ElDorado. Look through the Crestline book and you’ll see that there was a Cadillac wagon offered almost every year from the mid fifties through the 80s. Every year some businessman got the idea that the world needed a Cadillac wagon. Where they all got this hairbrained concept is beyond me. “Hey! Let’s get into manufacturing automobiles!” Production always ranged from a few prototypes to maybe a couple of hundred before the doors closed and reality hit. Then somewhere in the other end of the country another poorly thought out business plan and a few more Cadillac wagons were constructed. Sure they are RARE and unique and interesting and attract attention (some are nice looking, some are hideous) but none of them have or will ever achieve the value of the 59-60 El Dorado. Similar to the H&E Lincoln’s discussion they are cars that sellers always want a lot of money for and people want to see, but they aren’t digging into their pockets pulling out cash to get one. Yes they were expensive and yes some were connected with celebrities but if the best thing that you can say about a car was that it was owned by a celebrity then it isn’t much of a car.

TexRiv_63
The buyer is not going to like what he finds under that vinyl top - although the rest is pretty bad.

That’s a $500 car and I’ll bet anyone $100 it never gets restored. As m-madman said - neat when new and now as nice original - I spotted a 1970 Cadillac wagon on FB yesterday- but sellers always want $10,000 for these full on projects. They are never going to get that $125,000 restoration.
