Leif in Calif
Striking styling! It's not clear what engine is currently in the car... https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/d/norco-1948-buick-super-sedanette-hot/7684859570.html Not a perfect car, but a Nice example of survivor!! Straight 8 with a manual transmission and a 3rd member "pumpkin" freeway gears are included but not installed in good shape. Absolutely stunning interior finished in Ivory color. 12volt conversion. needs some finishing wiring behind the dash. Clear Arizona title. $19999 Firm!!!!! deac
Well I not so sure I am going to like this car because it's not original. The red painted areas in the engine compartment are too stark for my tastes. He converted the electrical system to 12 volts, why? But the real question is what's wrong with the wiring and why is not finished? Did he give up? I see a speaker mounted in the drivers kick panel.... ugh!! If the car was completed I could see a firm 20 grand. However the seller did not finish the wiring and the ivory colored vinyl upholstery hurts the value on this car. maybe 12 to 15 grand is more reasonable.
DrumBob
The color is awful; Army olive drab. It doesn't match the interior. The seller is delusional, I think. 2
John_S_in_Penna
The color is one I don't recognize, and I think it's probably incorrect. The interior is definitely incorrect. I think this car will be hard to sell.
Steve_Mack_CT
Just buy the original black 48 Roadmaster from last week. Twice the car for half the money.
EmTee
I don't hate it, but it certainly is NOT what I would call a 'survivor'. I would call it a 'mild' resto-mod. ('Mild' in that it appears to retain its original drivetrain.) While not original, the interior appears to be comfortable and well done. If it drives well, someone could at least drive and enjoy the straight-8 and torpedo styling. I'd prefer an original one, so I won't comment on the price...
MccJoseph
I love the Torpedo shape of these. This could be a very handsome car. The color reminds me of a color offered in 49 Gala Green?
B Jake Moran
I didn't know we were allowing hot rods to be placed in the Buy/Sell forum. Seriously - with all of the cool driver class cars out there, this would be one that's an easy pass for me. Outside color is horrible, maybe close to an original offered color, and the vinyl (or leather) seating is simply Kustom, not close to the broadlcoth stock interior. Walt G
Is it just me, but is the car sitting low? or is it the angle of the photographs?

I believe it's been lowered... A lot these cars get converted to 12 volts for a custom high powered stereo systems and an air bag suspension. I believe that's where the seller was taking this one and for some reason he gave up!
