B Jake Moran Posted October 19, 2023 Share Posted October 19, 2023 This year is an unusual year to see but I have seen and been in a lot of nice 1950-1954 Pontiac 8 cylinder automatic cars. That flathead isn’t a bad motor. This body style is highly unattractive to me and the color inside out totally boring, vinyl seats - ughhh. This car needs a total make over, a flashy paint job, purple or plumb or so, to make it a little more glitzy and spectacular. Steve_Mack_CT Posted November 10, 2023 Share Posted November 10, 2023 Funny I think this is an interesting example of the immediate postwar period, and I like the two door look - For these GMs I would prefer a true coupe but fb doesn't trip my trigger like it does for others. That said the 41 Caddy and Buick Roadmaster posted this week seem like more car for the money. Especially the Buick. Would be tempted if it was in New England. I would paint the top another color to offset the bland grey, and I'm not crazy about that body style either. I wouldn't paint it purple, but I'm sure Pontiac had flashier colors that year. I agree that it would be gone already if it was a fastback. I'd paint the top Blue Lake Blue. And I'd lose the Elvis license plate on the front. Paintman Posted January 21 Share Posted January 21 Greetings from Seattle there is a 1948 two-door black totally original one with Buel horns mounted on it at the national Auto and truck museum of the United States in Auburn Indiana it was bought new by a man named RO Barclay he worked for the b&o railroad and lived in New Albany Indiana it's on loan it is totally original with one repaint job and has the correct interior in it,...
