It's hard to believe that it was over 40 yrs ago that I first showed a car. It's been more then 30 yrs since I had a car across the the stage during the award ceremony. It survives because it stands out as one of the most enjoyable, low keyed events for both participants and spectators. Please pardon my whimsey as I reflect on what once was. Sorry I missed it-I really thought it was next week. I'm sure it was hot, but virtually assured that the weather will be great every year. As an aside the location is on the campus of "Pacific University" not Forest Grove University. Interesting to know that Forest Grove Concours is "the last remaining CDE in the Pacific NW." All the more reason to credit the show's organizer, the Rotary Club of Forest Grove. Not only is the concours a fund raiser for the scholarships at Pacific University, but it also supports other club projects and provides a venue to bring the region's vintage car community together. Thanks, Forest Grove Rotary!
nzcarnerd
I attended that show, as a spectator, during my road trip around the US in 1978. I wonder if any of the cars that were there in '78 are still being shown. I will have to hunt through my photos from then.

ch1929
Xander, Thanks for the pictures! Wow what a diverse collection of cars. The two XKE's would look better without the whitewalls. 1

Gunsmoke
Thanks Xander for a couple of days of enjoyment going thru your great photos of some fine cars. Something for just about everyone, except maybe the Brass guys. Personally, I like the series of Austin Healeys, MG-T's and E Types.

Xander Wildeisen
Here is one for you Auburnseeker. A little buffing on the paint, and some lowering blocks. And yours could look just like this. This is a nice car, quality build.

Xander Wildeisen
That’s all my pictures, I know there is a section for car shows. I post them here so more people will see them. Moderators can move the post there if they like. Hope everyone enjoyed the pictures. Nice to see a show from the comfort of where ever you are sitting. There are a bunch that I am fond of, some of my favorites. 1
drhach
Thanks for sharing those pictures. I lived in Forest Grove back in the 90's. I'm glad to see this event is still going strong.
