avgwarhawk
Nice car. Probably a repaint. Orange peel above the 8.2 litre badge.
EmTee
The last model year before the 'battering ram' bumpers appeared...
B Jake Moran
If “big if” this car actually has 7,900 original miles then the price is reasonable. I used to hate the 2nd series FWD Eldorados seeing them as bloated. But I have come to like them. They have to have the right color for me. B Jake Moran
Mileage now shows 107,892.
John_S_in_Penna
It looks like a pretty nice car, but the mileage (evidently above 100,000) is high. Also, I think I see rust bubbles behind the vinyl top, just below the quarter window on the right side: Edited June 17, 2023 by John_S_in_Penna (see edit history)
Jim Skelly
It looks like a replacement top (incorrect pattern). Too bad about the rust under the opera window. Other than that, it looks like a real nice car.
suchan
These still have the design features of the original, which I think is a plus, and it's a pre-1974 car, so it still has some get-up-and-go. They just don't fetch the big money, especially the coupe. $12.5K should get you a clean low-mileage car, without rust under the vinyl top. They're supreme highway cruisers with a bulletproof drivetrain. Hopefully the seller is flexible on price.

The under top rust does not scare me, but - it's a price reduction. I have had several of these 70's GM cars with rust under the "vinyl" top, and none ever got worse. They were a mild distraction at best. Sure we want perfect, but these were drivers with nothing paid over $3500 for one. They can be effectively sealed by waxing and prepping the area. I'll bet if I did buy this and waterproof it, it would be in this same condition 10-15 years from now, not worse, not better.
TexRiv_63
I never cared for the styling on the 71-72 Eldos, it improved on the 73 then crapped out in 74 due to the giant bumpers.
Jim Skelly
I never liked the skirts on the '71-'74. Here's my first car, a '71. I think it looks nice.

Ed Luddy
I remember these cars being the top of heap, apex, pinnacle of the luxury cars when new. But now not so much in the collector market. Pound per dollar they are a major bargain now. Just really thirsty and large, very large. The FWD Cadi's are not so well loved as the RWD's.
