I don’t love the color but it looks like a really good car and for decent asking price. Hardtop body style looks good. Power windows are a nice bonus. And it actually has belts on the AC compressor!

I would lose the tail pipe tips and drive the wheels off it.

Agreed on both accounts.

The tail pipes can be turned down underneath the car. They don't need to be sticking out the back like handles on a wheelbarrow.

Excellent find, Steve!  I like this car.

I often state--but it bears repeating--that many

cars once thought ordinary are seldom seen today.

This 1965 Electra is a case in point.  One can find

1965 Rivieras readily, and Skylarks readily too, but

nice Electras, LeSabres, and Wildcats are not often

available.

Thanks John,

I remember the first time I saw the photos of the 1965 Electra in the Motor Trend show issue.  I was a Lincoln man at the time, but Electra had been grabbing my attention since 1963.  The 1965 and 1966 Electras became a favorite and have been ever since.  Bill Mitchell and his design powerhouse really hit stride with the complete 1965 GM lineup.

I’ve had 1963, 1964 and early 70’s Electras.  But I agree, a 65-66 Electra is nice.  In 67, they added bulk in the rear quarters I never liked.  I think my friend Roy Faries has a 65 Electra convertible.   Pair that with a 4 door, would be nice.
