Hudsy Wudsy
I'm reminded of a '39 Imperial or New Yorker sedan with side mounts from a couple of years ago. Some idiot put a big block Chev engine in it and a blower. It just made me sick. Side mounts are just about unheard of on '39s. For '37 they aren't quite as rare, but still it's a shame. 24Chry48
This is a rare car and it's too bad somebody went to all the trouble of ruining it.
JACK M
I would suspect that the steering might be modified to clear the V8. Upon a closer look, that 318 may be mounted a bit starboard.
Xander Wildeisen
I could never warm up to the look of a 37 Chryslers front end.

Nor for me either, the 1938 Chrysler or DeSoto was much more appealing.
alsfarms
The 1937 DeSoto front end was, to me, the best of the whole Chrysler clan. Al
Xander Wildeisen
It was tough to part with my 38 Imperial coupe. Cleaner look to the front end.
alsfarms
Nice old survivor! If I didn't have the DeSoto, that is a car I would be on the hunt for. Al

I think it's the receding chin and the bug eyes. You can really see how they cleaned it up for '38.
