Malo48
Yowza that is beautiful. So many are boring street rods that I forgot how lovely these are.
Gearheadengineer
It is sweet. I’m a half hour away if anyone is seriously interested in this car and needs someone to check it out in person.
auburnseeker
It is nice and looks pretty correct but there have been some pretty nice open cars in this price range. (similar Fords) Maybe it will find a buyer but feels a little strong on price to me.
Steve_Mack_CT
I considered this one over summer. If the Dragone boys still have it, here is an alternative, recently reduced to $34k Edited January 11, 2023 by Steve_Mack_CT (see edit history)

deac
The Fords from the era are beautiful cars. The 35 through 39 model years are my favorites and especially the 36's are the best! The cars pictured here are beautiful.
auburnseeker
Convertible and Blue wins out over tan. Two pluses for the convt. That's the only problem with selling Fords. There is some competition for the $$/buyers.
Fossil
Seems like so many people are in love with the 32 through 34 year Fords. To me this car blows those away. 36 had to be the best year for most auto makers.
auburnseeker
It all depends on the make. 36 did have some nice cars, but I think 1935 hit the mark better on many. I would take a 35 over a 36 any day. 33-34 for many makes sure was near the top of design, then they slid away a little year by year until 39-40 and again seemed like alot of manufactures really nailed it, then again slid away.
JMAV8FORD
It is a very nice car, but: the painted windshield frame and painted grille are for standard; the speedometer and spare tire cover are for deluxe. It should have aluminum heads. The wheel covers should not be painted. And a few other things too. For that money, it should be completely correct.
Steve_Mack_CT
FWIW the 36 Cab is still available along with a 35 Phaeton in vineyard(?) Green that struck me as right on from a great buy, visually appealing perspective. Good time to be looking at early V8 Fords in CT I think.
JMAV8FORD
To clarify, the blue car is a club cabriolet (introduced in mid-36) with an inside rear seat. The cabriolet (with a rumble seat) was produced for the full model year.
Steve_Mack_CT
Jim, is the club cab considered more, or less desirable? I know in 36 it is a little unusual but wonder if Ford folk prefer the RS version?
JMAV8FORD
It is a matter of personal preference. Some people do not care for the large and bulky top of the club cabriolet. The rumble seat cabriolet is probably preferred. Jon Anderson

Steve_Mack_CT
Both cars at Dragones I believe have sold, this one sits. Nice car but I think he is overpriced by 7 to 10k.
