not mine... I’ve always admired these.

This is a great old show car. It has won best of class in every show I placed it in. I'd give it a 9 out of 10 in every way. There were 1692 of these hand made at GM for Buicks 50th anniversary. There is much history behind these cars. This one has a fresh motor. New trans seals. New windscreen. I have owned for two years and just drive it for fun. Time for something different. It's as clean underneath as it is on top. Even the selectronic am radio and power antenna work as they should. This was a frame off restoration and was well cared for in the 16k mi since then. If your looking for a driver to enjoy, this is a good one. Text me if interested. 920 90 one 92 hundred.

Yes AJ, the “all white theme” does miss out on providing some contrast that would look better. I have a 52 Super and the front end is very similar. That grill is an all time favorite of mine.

unlike the simple headlight of my 52, the headlight set up on these skylarks is pretty cool.

I agree, prices seem to be softening.

Buick Skylarks of 1953-1954 are attractive cars.

It's interesting that, despite very low production numbers,

they are very common today.  They may even be one of

the most common Buicks of the 1950's.  At any time,

there may be a dozen for sale--likely more than any other

Buick model of that decade.

Some of that is likely a reflection of their survival rate. Early on people figured out that they were special.

I have always liked these also. Although the white on white on white exterior would not be my first color choice. It seems the prices have been softening for a long time.

I could get past the white on white, but the red dice, what was he thinking of?

Maybe common in the US, but I have seen only one 53 Skylark here in my country. That was in Frankfurt, a blue one, very nicely restored. Very impressive car. I took a million photos. And there was another one in Sweden, to be fully restored but quite solid, for 30.000 USD. At that time, my 53 Roadmaster Riviera, had just arrived and I considered to use it to complete the Swedish skylark.... But happy that I finally restored my Riviera.
