That dash and steering wheel are really unusual! What is that finish called? Surely not wood grained.

I believe it was called "Mottled" plastic.

I had to look it up, so.....

Definition of mottled - "marked with spots or smears of color"

Not Bakelite.  Bakelite is opaque and doesn't let you get this kind of design.  Tenite cellulosic from Eastman was getting a lot of interest in this era because of all the color and pattern options it permitted.  This is a stunning interior.

1941 Mopar with running board delete is my favorite year. I think it’s the fenders and the proportions. Although my primary interest are the three window business coupes the original car looked pretty nice.
