I love the exposed valve gear, but I can only imagine how difficult it must have been to keep clean when nearly all roads were dirt!

Not sure NOS is a good thing when it comes to tires, though.

Seems a little pricey considering condition. I usually over-guesstimate on nickel-era values, but not this one.

The door fit on the front passenger side will dictate the cars overall condition/value.

Not running, no top, tired condition since not run for 30 years, not a brass car. Seller optimistic on value by quite a bit. Buick did make an attractive car, though….

Several of these 1916-1918 Buick model 45s "not run in 20 or 30 years" partial restorations have come up recently and have NOT sold for about half of the asking price.

Very cool car. Something I would like to have in running shape just because. But I doubt I ever will. Looks like its in an antique shop. They prob. have no idea on value. I would think the asking price would be more in line with a show winner.

I have been looking at more complete running cars the past couple months.  The seller is smoking way too much hopium here.

Most of these Buicks of this era that I had offered on for around the $10K range did not sell in the USA.

I believe this 1918 that we did a test drive on went to England. It had a noticable rod knock and I passed. The UK owner has since had to have the engine redone.

 This realy nice older restoration, running/ driving  1917 44 Roadster was a bit over $12,000 and took a while to sell about 7 years ago.

Also a nicely running and driving  1920 K 45 that seemed only need the 70 + year old Wards Riverside tires replaced went to Germany.

What year did Buick start running an oil supply to the rockers? Did all GM change that year (Chevy is a similar design).

1924, with the introduction of the detachable head.

1925 Standard 6 engine with feed tube at the rear and return brass fitting at the front.

Still for sale at $22,950...I think you are correct!

Perhaps in another 6 months the price will be adjusted (although to get real it will require a big attitude adjustment by the seller)
