George Smolinski
I think there’s about 27 too many duplicate photos in this post. It looks like there’s at least $1500 worth of parts there.

Taylormade
Boy, I wish I was closer, this would make a great speedster.
John_S_in_Penna
Did Velie offer speedsters? If so, it would be interesting. If not, the car should be kept as an original offering. But alas, I don't see this car being restored...
supercub
Never heard of Velle but it sure loojs unique. Good price point for the baseline of a speedster. If the cooler is full of beer, the deal is even better. The AZ desert sure looks enticing compared to gloomy CT drizzle I'm looking at now.

We'll have to consult their 1924 sales brochure to determine if that was a speedster style body.

The "cooler" appears to be a 1930's era trunk from a later model car. Your beer would probably be too warm to drink, unless you normally kept your brews in a Lucas refrigerator! John_S_in_Penna
AACA member Jon Nikodym in the midwest is an expert on Velies. He had one on a past Glidden Tour, and I believe he has others. There's a specialist for even obscure cars!
wayne sheldon
Velie built really great cars in the 1910s, and some really interesting cars in the 1910s! Years ago, I would have considered resurrecting this car. But I cannot take on another project like this anymore.
Rustolium72
I grew up in the Moline area where these cars were built. They also built the Velie monocoupe airplane. This would be a dream speedster for me!
dibarlaw
Cowl looks to be from a 1923 Buick.
