Interior is very nice. Tires are like new, brakes just bled and work fine. New wiper motor. 66,633 miles. Engine runs good. Body is arrow straight. no rust. THE TRANSMISION WILL NEED WORK! I don’t know what parts availability is like for the trans. Granny gear? It is NOT the regular Dynaflow. The Flight Pitch was a different transmission offered only in '58 and '59. Optional on most models, but I think it was standard on '58 Roadmaster 75 and Limited. I had heard that those Flight Pitch Dynaflows weren't the best, and even the Buick officials weren't satisfied with it back then. [from the book The Buick: A Complete History.] But Buick fans must be making the best of it, because so many 1958 Limited convertibles have been restored. For everyone's reference, where is Jim Hughes located? Is he a transmission specialist who advertises in the Buick Bugle? Do you mean that $1500 is for a rebuilt transmission, as long as you turn in your core?
