1948 Buick Roadmaster. 3 speed on the column with 6 cylinder. Does still have the the 6 volt system. All original. All the trim pieces, fender skirts and interior pieces are still on the car. Car runs and drives but will need fuel system and brake work. I believe actual mileage to be correct. We are the 3rd owners.

Might be some kind of an estate liquidation or something and the car has to be sold. May have been Grandpa's car, or maybe came with the property and the people just don't want the car. There is a young lady in the one picture who may be representing the car and she just isn't familiar enough with what she's trying to sell. Possibly a potential buyer or a knowledgeable person will stop by, explain the differences to her and the ad will be corrected.

Just happened to find this 1948 Roadmaster on Seattle Facebook Marketplace. It was inherited from their grandparents and the current owners would like to sell as it's just collecting dust. Start that price high, you can always come down. BTW the car with the flat tire in A Christmas Story wasn't a Dodge but a 1937 Oldsmobile Six.

You guys know, or should know, I abhore next generation sales of family heirloom cars even in this condition.  In my book, subject to inspection,  this is a $1500 car tops, and that's to a local buyer only. At $2 a loaded mile, total cost would exceed $2k pretty quick.

But again, you can't tell that to this next generation crowd that sees only how they can spend the $12,000.
