I like the 37 grill, and would prefer roadmaster, or model 41. I am not familiar with all the different models of the sedans, however I have seen them as slantback and a humpback. I am open to a coupe as long as it is original. Thank you for providing the 36-38 group link.

I have a 1937 Roadmaster 4-dr. sedan that I will be selling as soon as its front bumper and sheet metal repairs are completed--it's in the body shop now. Runs and drives very well; mostly original and unrestored except for driver's seat upholstery and I think it's been repainted once.

I am looking to purchase a 1937 Buick!

I love the road master and model 41, but am open to one that is original and unmolested. I can be reached via xxxxx @ xxx@yahoo.com or mobile 770-xxx-xxx

The model 41 is the Special - 4 door sedan - 248 ci engine

The model 61 is the Century - 4 door sedan - 320 ci engine

The model 80 is the Roadmaster, in various configuration.  (e.g. 81)   320 ci engine.

A guide to specifications (but does have some errors)

If you’re looking for what some consider the ultimate in 1937 Buick Roadmaster, look at the ultra rare model 80C like mine-

4-door convertible sedan, called “PHAETON” in Buick terms.

Ours was FIORELLO LaGuardia’s personal Parade Car.
Feel free to PM me to learn lots of background as ours is an unrestored original, wearing AACA badges to confirm the originality.

Welcome to the Buick ranks

A friend of mine in Penna. is selling his 1937

Roadmaster phaeton.  Some models aren't as

rare as production numbers would indicate,

because they caught the attention of collectors

many years ago and a disproportionate number

have been restored.  (Another friend has the

very same model.)  Here is the one for sale, a

virtually perfect Grand National winner, for what

it's worth;  the seller is a good guy and a mechanic

who specializes in pre-war cars.

However, you can have plenty of fun with a

Special sedan for a small fraction of the cost.

All the best to you in your search.

Wow-

Lou's is a magnificant example.

I couldn't initially find pictures of my car's all original dash with the original design (applique?), as opposed to a painted surface,

but here are 2 photos of another '37 Roadmaster 80C where the dash design is easier to see (steering wheel - not mine - in first 2 pics may not be correct)-

later added 7 pics of our original dash and steering wheel

And yes, you can have a lot of fun with a 40 Series Special 4-door sedan for a fraction of the cost.

Best of luck in your quest !

Here's a better look at the unusual design for the 1937 Roadmaster Phaeton's Dashboard

The owner of another 1937 Roadmaster phaeton

(one I mentioned above) has had his restored as well.

I think his has reached the Senior level.  He's a

Buick specialist, and he said the original Dinoc decal

pattern (shown on Marty's car) was unavailable, so

he painted his dashboard a solid color.

Is this the Roadmaster featured in the Bugle earlier this year: and bought in Bow, New Hampshire?

  • 3 years later...

I have a 1937 Buick Century Convertible  with Rumble Seat in excellent restorable condition. VERY LITTLE RUST!!! Family bought new. In family for 3 generations. All original. Was running when garaged. Located in Woolrich, PA.
