Dosmo
A good collector friend found this while cleaning out a storage building full of mostly antique items. He came by my home today and dropped it off. He knows I go crazy over stuff like this. Not really rare, I guess, but I believe it is a fairly uncommon piece. I love the oddball stuff.

wayne sheldon
When I was little, my great uncle and aunt had a Powell pickup. I never did get to see it outside the barn he kept in in, but loved to go out and look at it! I often wonder what ever became of the thing? It was so different, and odd, even to my seven year old eyes. I have always wanted one, but seen only a couple since his. (His was all red.) TerryB
You too can have your own Powell, just check out your local store that sells Matchbox cars.
wayne sheldon
Does it come in red?
TerryB
I have yet to find one at any store. My son saw the announcement of it being made by Matchbox and sent it to me. He is on the lookout too for one. I think it is only available in one color right now.

Frank DuVal
Powell is an interesting vehicle. Built with a rebuilt 41 Plymouth drivetrain.👍

CarlLaFong
My neighbor in California has at least 2 of them and the remains of a few more. A friend had one but it was lost in a big fire in Kernville Ca abouy 15 years ago. A couple of car collecting brothers that I knew had a few including a station wagon. I had a Powell scooter Edited November 7, 2020 by CarlLaFong (see edit history)
