Thanks. They had a fire in 2017 that damaged/destroyed about 150 cars and the building they were in. The next year, they had a tornado that damaged/destroyed 100 cars, destroyed two buildings and damaged two others. I have no experience with them and I suppose every dealer gets complaints. These links are at least a decade old but FWIW: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/country-classic-cars-in-illinois.191365/ https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/country-classic-does-it-again.176028/ https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/country-classic-cars-staunton-illinois.673991/

I was out there maybe 8-10 years ago and the place didn't look promising.
Matt Harwood
I don't like to make comments about other dealers, but I will say that you always get what you pay for.

Lebowski
I bought a '58 Ford from them several years ago without going there to see it first. Big mistake. They told me it was rust free and from Texas but when the title arrived (before the car) and it was a Minnesota title I started to get a little worried. It was loaded with bondo and the engine had a rod knock and needed to be replaced even though they said it ran good. There's more but you get the idea. Avoid them.... PS...............I was going to send him a PM but I couldn't figure out how so I posted it here.... 58L-Y8
Look closely around the edges, the places people don't notice, at the cars offered by the dealer in question, revealing how rough they generally are. One of our region members just had to have a 1958 Plymouth Suburban so he bought one from this dealer. While those Forward Look Plymouths are rust-prone to begin with, the car when it showed up was a rusted mess that was badly misrepresented. If you check Craigslist frequently for older cars available throughout the country, more than once I've found an advertisement for some make and model that's presentable but not prefect, but still priced realistically. Shortly thereafter, the same car will show up in this dealer's advertisements priced double what it was in the Craigslist advertisement. My advice: Buyer Beware! Very Beware.
