Nothing worse than having a helper strangle themselves on the retract door cable. Did I say helper? That could have been me.

Yes, I use them to mark those invisible cables and I also leave them outside in the back few feet apart to create space for re-entry. There are not smart show goers when parking at car shows

John Smeltzer
My 1926 Buick first time out of the barn since 1949 when it was parked. I bought it at a auction to save it from the guy that wanted to rat-rod it. 3 years later and it’’s still in the corner of my shop untouched 🥲 but at least it hasn’t been destroyed by some hack

It's safe...at least for now. I hope you eventually will have the time and the means to restore it, or else pass it along to someone who will. Until it's back in shape one could think of your noble effort as a temporary stay of execution. The last thing you'd want is for someone to come along many years from now, buy it from your estate, and haul it out of your place to turn it into an EV. I have too many projects already and this one is way back on the burner. I would love to pass it along to someone else that has interest in saving it,but haven’t really tried. I guess I need to put an add on the Buick page one day John
