TerryB
Photo was taken yesterday in northern CA near SF. Son sent it to me to ID and I’m stumped. Is it foreign?

nzcarnerd
Not necessarily just 1951. This one looks like the Tatra 600 or Tatraplan, that was built from 1946-52. It was a four cylinder model that preceded the more well known V8 powered Model 603. I wonder if the owner also has an early '60s Corvette?

A lot of them have those Venetian blind sort of vents in the rear. Edited May 26, 2018 by keiser31 (see edit history)

Rusty_OToole
Tatra a rear engined air cooled car made in Czechoslovakia. First made before the VW beetle, many believe the beetle was a copy of the Tatra.

Probably after photographing the one that just drove by his house towing the Chrysler thunderbolt on a trailer. Come on Keiser, let's see the photos. 1
