You can't quickly jump between forums with the drop down menu, the first page of topics is shorter, and you have to select who you reply too. The extra smilies are nice, but we could always use more. I'm not sure if the reply goes to the poster and the person your replying to or if the reply button is for the post and it's just at the end of every post for convenience. I kinda like the new system, alot more features like making the threads use bigger fonts and a different color scheme so I can read them easier. The pictures are kinda cool. BUT...it is not democratic: there were discussions and gripes when it first changed and they all disappeared. NTX5467 Posted September 5, 2002 Share Posted September 5, 2002 I tend to concur with Willie's comments and might add that the judgment of our forum host and moderator be trusted about doing these upgrades.There are lots of new fetures and enhancements, for sure, and with time everyone's "Anonymous" name will be replaced with their existing automatic (for registered members) login name from the previous situation. This last item has taken a few days to happen, but the other forums now recognize my user name and such. I'm not sure if that situation resulted from additional programming or other situations, but I know it has happened.We also have more information available to us, it seems, regarding other things the previous version did not have. As always, just because there are more bells and whistles doesn't mean you have to use them. You can also add a photo there.Relative to the comment about posts being deleted. That is not true. Some were moved to "Forum Technical Question" which is where they belong.As to anonymous status. (tomsriv is "smokin'"!)the only thing i don't really like is the text under the "subjects" it seems a little scrunched up like only a few words per line. a little hard to read. but maybe it's my browser.and i have to admit the smilies, well, they suck. I'd like it to automatically "return" when it hits the end of the box, so that I can read it as it will appear as a posted message. I like the pics you can put on the corner - gives it some personality and you can see your buddies cars. I like Toms 71 Riv stretching its legs - I think I am going to put 2 smoke bombs and a fan under my 55 Buick and take the shot - thats the only way I'll get a burnout picture with mine! How do you stop the picture from distorting?Only comment - seems slower than the old board - or maybe its just me.Change is good - keeps you moving forward.
