SC38dls
Not only a huge parts inventory but an even bigger knowledge base. If he doesn’t have a part he helps you by telling you where you might locate it. Not many left like this anymore, he is very much appreciated

rbk
Glad that it all turned out and thanks for the endorsements. I have had a lot of requests for parts and I have not been able to keep up. I have been very busy with the huge stash of 1920-26 light six parts that "Light Six" brought from Michigan. I still have to learn a lot about cars of that era. I am 81 years old now and we just celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary. We had a very nice party with many of our friends. I married one of the good ones that always supported me in my endeavor to save parts inventories from former Studebaker dealers. My daughter came over from Pasadena and is helping me with my computer skills and care for my wife but she has to go back soon. The amount of parts I sell in a year barely covers the for ever rising real estate tax . Robert Kapteyn studebaker@mac.com

Sorry Bob for making your life more difficult - hopefully you find a few good parts in all that. BTW - are you still looking for one of these? rbk
Scott In the contrary, I am like a kid in a candy store. I love researching these parts. Many had the part numbers and I have been making people happy with parts. Like I said in my post , working on saving parts from many Studebaker dealers is keeping me alive. When you were here, did you get a tour of the building? I have not heard from the older gentleman in Minnesota about the oil filler yet. Thanks Scott for saving these parts. Stude Light
Feel free to send me pictures of what you can't identify and I'll try to help out. The small stuff you can lay out in some rows in one photo to reduce the workload. Scott

rbk
Thanks Graig Spring is coming and I have been going to the shop again. I have a long list of pars to look for but I am old and slow and depend on my friend Paul Reppa to help me find parts since I can not climb ladders to get parts off the higher shelfs. I also get a lot of help from my son, In post #4 there is picture of me with a little baby who is now 56 years old and 6ft 9" http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.com/showthread.php?103337-Happy-60th-Anniversary-Bob-Kapteyn&highlight=kapteyn I started Physical Therapy again to help me walking. If you want to stop by , you and all Studebaker owners are always welcome but call or text first at 815 212 2389 to make sure that I am at the shop. I bought 29 Studebaker parts inventories as a retirement project. Still kicking but not as hard as I used to. Thanks Bob
