They used annual plates that were replaced each year into the mid-1970's. Britain has since the beginning of requiring vehicle registrations starting in 1904. 8E45E Posted September 6, 2017 Share Posted September 6, 2017 It would be 'young age'; not 'old age' you will have to plead. Older ones will remember the annual plate changeover.
