Restorer32
I don't think it is a Kissel.
keiser31
Looks a little like a Dupont with the painted radiator shell, but I am guessing about a 1922 or so Marmon.....I see a diamond quarter window, too. The running boards are turned up at both ends like the Marmon. Edited November 4, 2014 by keiser31 (see edit history)
ron hausmann
All,it is not a Kissel. Wrong lights, top, door, window, etc. for a Kissel. Might be either a 1922-ish Marmon Speedster, which has diamond windows, or maybe a custom Daniels Submarine Speedster. I would say Marmon. Thanks, Ron Hausmann P.E. keiser31
May be a 1920 Marmon with the acorn headlamps.

West Peterson
Custom bodied?Looks like Barney Oldfield in the Model 34 Indy pace car that paced the race in 1920. It was said that Barney probably was in control of the fastest car on the track that day. I think Barney ended up owning that car, and drove it all across the U.S.

Peerless made a sport roadster that looks just like this. I would post a picture if I knew how.RHL
supersix
Actually the person in the first posting is Hal Roach, movie producer.

West Peterson
Actually the person in the first posting is Hal Roach, movie producer.Ken,I believe you are correct. Ironically, Barney played a part in a Hal Roach movie in 1924. It was called, "Young Oldfield." ron hausmann
All,Just to add more confusion to this thread, it appears that movie producer Hal Roach was a fast car buff in that ancient time. There exists a picture of Hal Roach, Charlie, Chaplin, and several other "swells" (period term for well-off, fast paced young persons) on Flicker in a 1922 Kissel Gold Bug. I cant figure out how to download it.Thanks, Ron Hausmann P.E.
