Bill Stoneberg
Trashed my engine in my Riv about a year ago. Yesterday Willie (Old Tank), Mike (Buick5563), and Keith who is a welder / fabricator friend of mine came over and helped me put a new one in.Amongst the general spate of insults, fat jokes and "what the hell is this" comments the engine went in, the skinner people crawled under the car and attached the torque converter and the car got pushed backinto the garage. All in all it was fun morning finished off with Beer and sandwiches. Now I have the rest of the chores which is re installing everything else. NTX5467
Weather's coolin' off some, good time for "projects" to happen or get finished before the cooler times happen (probably a little soon, by observation) AND Halloween.Enjoy!NTX5467
Mark Shaw
Congratulations Bill, Sounds like you had the right crew to get the job done (And I'm sure there was no extra charge for sarcastic comments).

Bill Stoneberg
It was a local beer, St. Arnolds, and it was in celebration of the season. Imperial Pumpkinator.Good beer that we had at the house and then drank Porter's at the restaurant where we ate burgers. Then after Willie and Mike went home, I took a nap... NTX5467
How much "better" is the replacement engine than the original one? Just curious.Sounds like y'all had a great time! Made some great progress, too! Much of what the car hobby CAN be about, too!Enjoy!NTX5467
