  1. I have a '66 Impala sport coupe. Non-SS with bucket seats in it. 468 w/Corvette tripower, T400, 3:73 posi. About 98K on the body & 8K on the drivetrain. $17,000. I would be glad to sell "sight unseen" but it has to be in cash.
  2. I see the seller is generating a ton of interest with an opening bid of $89K. Also noted - Floors are very solid,Body has been professionally restoredIf the body has been restored wouldn't the floors be perfect & the car painted? Or are floors no longer considered part of the body? And maybe this car was a rare optioned primer only paint delete car. Either my eyes deceive me & the car is painted(looks like rust/orange to me) or it's in primer which is Not restored.
  3. As a senior member here, you should know pictures should be posted with the ad if for no other reason than the fact that we all like to look at pictures.
  4. Cahartley, You said "That it's a 2 door hardtop (NOT BUBBLETOP!) makes it quite desirable in my books." You are incorrect sir. The car is a 2 door sedan, also referred to as a 2 door post. There is a giant difference between it & a 2 door hardtop.
  5. Sir, Sellers of vehicles here should take note of your ad. I think it's one of if not the best ad I've seen here. Good luck with your sale.
  6. Throw us a bone here. How about price & a photo or 6?
  7. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/cto/5079778122.html Not mine. Thought someone here may be interested.
  8. Out of curiosity, why would you want to part out a car like this being 98% complete instead of selling the whole car to someone that would restore it? Is it because the sum of the parts is greater than the whole?
  9. Not mine. Spotted it on CL & thought someone here may be interested. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/cto/4995055376.html
  10. 1953-54 NOS Optional hood bird. In original box. There are 2 part numbers - the box has 986785 & the bird has 3701859 on the underside. It has very minor shelf wear & age pitting that should buff out. The photos don't show it very well. Located in St. Paul, MN. Will ship.$325
  11. Matt, FYI the air cleaner is incorrect. The one on the car is Z28 from about 1970-71. Yours should be single snorkel. Here is a link to one I have on Oldride along with a photo. http://www.oldride.com/parts/9125136983.html
  12. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/wsh/cto/4735093093.html Not mine. Thought someone here may need parts. IMHO, what a shame to do this to this car.
  13. The gas door guard from another full size '62 GM car like an Impala will more than likely fit your Buick. You may be able to find photos of a Buick guard & an Impala one to compare.
  14. I am thinking about selling this piece, but I need help determining the value/price. The crystal is cracked as seen in photo. I would also be interested in any history or other information about it. Thanks in advance.
  15. "pretty sure this was your quote George and now you are selling registrations........? my the nerve..............." Yes, It was my quote & in it I was referring to buying & selling TITLES which is illegal. I don't believe selling a REGISTRATION is illegal. And if you don't know the difference between a title & a registration, your local DMV can help you out. While you're there, maybe you want to ask them also if it's ok to sell some old titles you have. If you can show me proof that selling a registration is illegal, I'll take the ad down. If you can't then "2 bucks". When you look at the original post & the first reply to it, what the hell do you think the said title inquired about was going to be used for? Regarding another reply (something about AACA people collecting literature & paperwork)to my questioning of the original post & reply, yes they probably do. If buying & selling titles is such an innocent practice, how come other sites have banned any ads for doing it?
  16. This paperwork came from a Hudson Hornet I pulled from a barn years ago. The registration card is from S. Dakota & comes in a clear & leatherette case that wrapped around the steering column & was held in place with a spring(spring is included). The owner's manual is a little worn, but in good shape for 60 years old. The maps were in the glovebox with the manual. I have no idea what the stuff is worth, so I'll say $50 or offer. If someone knows the value of it, please let me know & I'll adjust the price accordingly.
  17. I am hoping to find someone to finish restoration on a 1969 Chevy CST pickup that is very, very way past due being completed. The truck is in a shop in Elkhart, Indiana which is about 10 miles from South Bend. I can't personally show the truck (I live in Minnesota), but can arrange to have it shown. I would want some type of estimate on hours to complete it & approximate cost. I can't write a blank check for the final work because of the $$$$ invested in it already (I'm running out of greenbacks). Any help would be appreciated.
  18. Joseph I sent you an email about the speaker & bracket. George Smolinski
  19. They certainly look better with the top down than top up. No offense to anyone who owns one, but they are rather butt ugly with the top up.
  20. "this is not typically the price for a sale "by-owner", especially for a non-operating car. " Marty, Don't intend to steal this thread, but this question may be helpful to the seller & others. Is there a decent general rule of thumb for deducting a certain percentage for an in-op vehicle? Example: Let's say according to OCPG, this Ford is a number 3 car, but as stated, it is in-op. Could one deduct X% for the in-op?
  21. This car has been posted on CL in the Twin Cities, MN for about the last 18 months - $100 for each month posted. You'd think since it's still for sale, the seller would take the hint & lower the price if he/she is serious about selling it.
  22. This is what I questioned in a previous post about buying a title for a vehicle that it was not issued to being an illegal activity. People say they collect them for fun & then when someone asks about buying a title, it would appear the title "collectors" are quick to reply. There is a proper, legal way to obtain a title i most if not all states, but it's not by buying one issued to a different vehicle.
  23. You're welcome. You can understand the 2 photos don't give one much to go on. I think there is also a certain amount of frustration from me & other members because some ads post no photos & others post crappy ones or direct you to another site to view them.
