  7. I’m glad your ok. We found a crack in the Pitman arm when we magnafluxed the spindles and steering parts on an early car I drive a lot. I have seen a few cars with cracks developing in the spindles thru the years. I’m a firm believer in checking all steering parts Jeff

  10. We’re just over 10,500 miles since May in a 1911 Thomas. I hope we can get more miles in 2022. I have a great navigator!! The second photo was in front of the ER Thomas factory in Buffalo on our way back to Georgia from the Glidden tour.

  12. The fire truck with one leather strap is a 460 model F thomas and the one following the fire chief is a 670 model K Thomas
  13. 1911 Thomas Flyer and a 1908 Lozier Briarcliff are 2 Orphans sitting in the shop. It’s always interesting to explain what they are when your out on the road. We’ve drove the Thomas over 9000 miles so far this summer.
  14. A few car owners/enthusiasts are in the process of putting a list together of survivors. The number stands at approximately 50 cars so far. I feel very lucky to be the temporary car taker of a 1911 670KC. They are great cars to drive. Its currently getting readied for the Transcon tour in the Spring.   15. I have many fond memories of driving brass era cars that others owned. I think it’s the best way to get someone interested the hobby. We face an uphill battle to expose people to early cars and joys of touring. We are after all just temporary cars takers of these cars. Don’t let one bad experience dampen your enthusiasm for getting others behind the wheel.
