    Wood grain

I have been to my local u-pick yard and there is a Riv out there with the woodgrain. the cassette deck is black like the Reattas. the pieces are in decent shape.
  2. On my '89 owners manual it tells me what happens. Did you check yours?
  3. Would someone be able to download it to the FAQ location on this forum?
  4. Do you know how to get the codes out by pressing the off and warm buttons on the climate control screen? I see you are new to the forum.
  5. Where is the car located? It might be a parts car for someone.
  6. I'm likin this "Daniel on the spot" tech answer guy. Good for you Dan! What do you think of 2 Probe tranny coolers, one for the power steering and one for the Transmission?
  7. Is that a custom ruler Barney? Sounds like a good idea on the Probe cooler for the power steering unit. Do you think it might be a good adea to get an extra one and use it for the Tranny lines on the Reatta? Most of us have not changed our eprom to have the radiator fans turn on sooner. My thought is that because the fans turn on at 212 degrees it might be too close to the breakdown point of the transmission fluid. Any thoughts or ideas?

    Wiper Arm

I had the same problem. I lubricated it with a rust dissolver then sprayed it with a white grease. The tension could also bew the problem, as mine worked better but didn't fix the situation.
  9. I'd a bought it, but I couldn't afford the last $.23.lol
  10. Shutup [said with envy of course!]
  11. Alex, you have brought forth an opinion I agree with. The problem with modifying a car is that you are the only one who knows what was done. Then the car is sold to someone and that person now has the burden of figuring out what was changed and then probably paying 3 times what the repair normally would have been. And I really struggle with the brake mods I have been reading about. The problem with those changes is that we, on the most part, are not engineers and are running the risk of endangering other peoples lives to save a few bucks on parts. This is only my opinion and not meant to offend anyone.
  12. That all the workers in the picture are actually working?...
  13. I worked for a company based in Buffalo. The Falls INMHO are the prettiest in the winter. You get lots of snow but most of it is lake effect snow, but I will shut up about what we get/got.
  14. We are set for a double whammy today. So far we got rain turning to sleet. That means we now have a layer of ice before we get the snow that is predicted to start mid day and equal 10"-14" before it ends Mon. am. I really don't mind most winters but this is really getting out of hand.
  15. In tonights paper we are at 64.3" officially with the record being 75.2" Feb and Mar can deliver 26.1" and 28.2" respectivly. This weekend looks to be 6"-13" so we could set the record this weekend. I don't care where you are from[ including Mn.] thats a lot of s@#%. On a positive note we leave for S.C on 3/15 for a week of hopefully nice weather.
  16. Interesting how you plow highways there. We do not plow that way [using all 3 lanes and shoulders]. Look at that traffic backup! Our guys plow right lane into ditch or left lane into meridian. That way if you are in a hurray and think you can make it you can pass. BTW you do a great job w/cutting and pasting!
  17. How about "FITS 2" or "REATTAFN" which could be Reatta fun or Reatta fan, or "1 of 24k" which is how many were made, or just for your year "1 of 8k" if yours is an "89. Or "rare car" "careful" "look out" so hopefully you don't get hit.
  18. To help clarify the glass, that also includes the mirrors. They also are not the same. Regarding the e-prom, I took one out from a Riv and installed it in my Reatta and it worked. Is that the prom you were saying doesn't swap?
  19. I've got a great snowblower, so moving snow is not the issue. The issue is it just keeps coming. The average snowfall for our area is 42" to date we have 62" with between 6"-12" coming on Sunday into Monday. Madison is already 4" over their previous annual record. And it seems that when it is not snowing we get subzero teperatures. And we get 1 more month of this. The only consolation I can think of is that we get an early spring, cause how much snow can we get?
  20. We got between 6"-8" with a forcast for about that much more on Sun. Coupled with the fact that between these 2 storms we will have sub zero weather. This sure is getting old.
  21. Sorry to hear about you selling your car. Looks like a great ride. When my daughter got married, my wife and I sat down and came up with a total of what we felt a wedding should cost. Then we wrote a check.[My in-laws did this for our wedding]. This goes a long way to keeping peace and avoiding anger and resentment at cost overruns. It also makes the young couple realize that this budget thing is a part of life. Makes for a good first lesson as they start their life together. Who knows it might make it so you can keep your car and have a good time at the wedding. It allowed me to have a good time at the wedding and still BUY a Reatta in the same year...
  22. I think we need Manikmekanik to volunteer/bid his services. I would be willing to bet that if you would buy his used parts and pay his air fare plus a little for labor you would get your car back in shape. And for way less then what that guy wants. He could ship the parts/tools UPS. He ownly owns 7 Reattas, [although he does have an issue with the horn setup on his daily driver, that black car],he should know everything you need to get fixed.
  23. I was looking for recomendations of what tire to buy. I am confused, are you trying to sell me a set?
  24. I am in the market for tires. I use my car for a daily driver in the months April-Dec. This car is not driven in the winter. I will put on about 30000 miles during those months. Any recommendations?
  25. After I bought my car I replaced almost all the gaskets, tranny lines and oil level sensors.Still had a very slow leak, then when I took the car out of storage to get it repainted I had a big puddle. Turned out my power steering pump had gone bad, and was the source of the leak. Check your pump level.
