  1. The part is definately after 1968 is when GM Parts was created.
  2. If you take a good picture of the side of the package with the part number and other numbers, we will be able to help a lot more. The group number is the number that GM parts categorized parts into like chapters in a book. They are among others engine, body, transmission, electrical, etc...
  3. Might check the compression on one cylinder to confirm there is compression. (timing is close)
  4. Can you post a picture of both sides of the wrapper & part?
  5. What a great looking job on that Ford wagon.
  6. I also agree. This is my relaxing place to think, share, and receive advice on cars & Trucks
  7. :)Hey, I am just happy to have a $100.00 bill once in a while to put in the break to try to fix it.
  8. Did this one start as a Chevrolet? Looks like Chevy by the steering wheel.
  9. If you post the frame number by the front of the left front wheel and the engine number on the left side of the engine, Dave Corbin can tell you all of the particulars of the vehicle.
  10. I agree with the information presented on The History Channel. It does not need to be everyhthing history, but there is a larger place for it especially with so much of the population not knowing US History and the what we do because of who we are as a country.
  11. Here is a new museum that I have not seen before in Fla. Looks cool. YouTube - Tail Fins and Chrome features: Cars of Dreams
  12. Can you get a good picture of the tag on the firewall and post it? It will probably have all of the numbers to tell you exactly what you need.
  13. Just for grins, do you have some pictures you can post of the engine, etc? Is it possible that it has had an engine transplant of a different manufacturer?
  14. I would correct the wiring for the vehicle as the number one thing to do. Then if it is running backwards, might need to look at the timing, etc.
  15. AC Sparkplug used the Fire-Ring moniker in their advertising.
  16. Some of you might choke, but I had an almost exact lock on the left on my 1964 Corvair Monza to keep the spare tire safe in the engine compartment. It fit over a special stud so it could not be unbolted from the storage area. It looked like the left lock, but had a door key in it to operate the lock like the lock on the right. I will look around and if I can find it I will post a pix.
  17. Might take it to a muffler shop and see if they can bend it to what you want.
  18. I agree with Matt. For the cost of jack stands today I would not even consider using concrete blocks.
  19. Looks like a generator or air conditioning compressor mounting bracket.
  20. Here is the listing 1914-30 Buick Master Parts List; For 6 Cyl.Reprint!: eBay Motors (item 400098270301 end time Oct-15-10 15:00:20 PDT)
  21. I agree with new lines. Just did a car that it seemed that everything I touched in the back started leaking. I finally just cut all of the lines under the drivers seat and replaced everything back. Remember, If you cannot get it started you can not get into trouble. If you can not stop, you are in trouble.
  22. That car is truly making a statement. Just do not know what the statement is??
  23. That is how the Chevy Volt works.
  24. I would probably look at two things based on has the car been sitting for a while? First I would put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel line at the carb and check the fuel pressure. Work backwards to the tank. Firsta new fuel filter. Then I would probably pull the gas tank and look at the sock on the bottom of the tank unit. Sounds like there is some trash in the tank that is restricting the flow of fuel because of debris accumulation on the sock when the fuel level is low. My thoughts because I have seen the restricted sock problem. you should be able to purchase a new sock if the sending unit is good.
