  1. I too agree on the carpet repurpose. My neighbor just had a bunch of carpet in her house replaced and I got some of the good pieces and use in in the garage to keep the dirt from tracking into the house and also to work on in the winter instead of cold concrete.
  2. Before I would start replacing the engine, I would do some basic diagnostics. You might take the bolts from the flexplate to the torque converter and move the torque converter back and try to start the engine. I would also take the serpentine belt off and see if the engine would turn over and start. Strange things like a locked up generator/alternator have had persons change complete engines. A locked up generator will keep the engine from being able to turn over. I know.. Been there done that. It might be easier to do the basic diagnostics first. Just my thoughts & my humble opinion.
  3. This is a completed listing, but might ask for a relist. Pair of Early Ford Model T headlight lenses clear and flat 8 1/4 inches across | eBay

  19. I am with Bob. I have been using the current stuff out of the pump on everything including a chain saw that is over 30 years old and it starts on the 5th or 6th pull.
  20. May cause some indigestion, but from a stab of technically different, the Vega might be on the list. Maybe the GM EV1 electric vehicle with the high tech body composites and electronics for the time. It will be interesting to see how history will treat the Chevy Volt.
  21. If you would like to see a good write up on alumunim engine blocks and head bolt repair the mos current would be to look at the installation of time serts in the Cadillac Northstar engine. Most of the technicians that work on these engines tell me that if they R&R the head they timesert every head bolt hole in the block. This is the GM recommended repair for stripped out threads in aluminum engine blocks. Here is a link for more information. ++ TIME-SERT Threaded inserts for stripped threads, threaded inserts, thread repair stripped sparkplug's, Ford sparkplug blowouts, threaded inserts threaded, repair stripped threads, stripped threads, inserts threaded inserts, Ford spark plug repair, Here is the GM discussion. http://www.timesert.com/html/approved-GM2.pdf
