Your compressor will probably not supply an DA sander or any other sander. Would not work for a sand blaster except for short like one or two minute runs.

I do not believe that a product applied to the external connections of the battery caused an internal failure. IMO, just trying to shift blame for the battery failure.

I think that the majority of persons here would vote to keep the system 6 volt. To change over to 12 volt remember all of the bulbs, radio, etc, gauges, etc...If you are having problems starting, I would go to the basics for the starter like good grounds, large clean new cables, not the 12 volt cables in the stores today, ect.
