  1. Apparently Ford T, but what year???
  2. One of 1927 is for sale in Belgium.... Buick Bus 1927 for sale - PreWarCar
  3. Some may find interesting auction results here Bonhams 1793 : 1927 Prince of Wales Ceremonial Tour of Canada,1927 McLaughlin-Buick Model 28.496 Master Six Tourer Chassis no. 140099 Engine no. 2080521 and here http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/20925/lot/312/
  4. I guess there is always a chance to have one cast....
  5. Hi Dwight, there is no bolt pattern as a such, these Buffalo (or Ash wheel) are held on tapered hub by ring nut, that is secured by lock nut with reversed thread. There is also six "lugs" protruding into wheel (but hidden in the wheel centre) that actually secure wheel agains slip on the hub. I have never seen new wheels for sale, Used Buick Wheels had some second hand for sale. While you may still be able to find wheels, I believe the hubs are really scarce nowadays. Should you know where to get the fancy dust cover for spare wheel (you show at your picture) from, I would like to know. Josef
  6. I think the guy liked to drive through fields and woods, hunting(?); so equipped the car with thicker tires and more solid wheels as opposed to relatively thin tires on detachable rims of 1928 picture. Note the lamps on the roof, looks like on maharajas Rollses for high game :-)
  7. http://www.rallyamerica.com/Used_Buick.html - still offers 21" Buffalo / Ash wire wheel(s). I bought the wheel they have at picture so maybe they have more of them. Bit expensive though. Once I saw complete front axle with wheels at Model T Haven - Your source for parts and pieces of the car that made history., but it is some time now and seems it has been sold since. Sometimes the wheels pop up on e-bay but it is really scarce. I think the most difficult part is to find hubs. I have never seen them for sale. Brake drums can be converted - the centre hole and spoke hole pattern & size needs to be modified though. What Buick do you have, Standard or Master? Any parts you can miss? Good luck with your project. Josef
  8. Agree with opinion this is in fact the same car, the second being customised / modernised few years later as F&J suggests. "There seems to be an interesting gizmo above the top hinge on the bottom photo each side which could be an early indicator lamp??" Yes these are early indicator lamps, Scintilla and couple of other European producers made them in late 20s and 30s. Tatra, Praga, Aero - blikae - fajfky SCINTILLA - Praha, inzerce, prodm
  9. "Nice to know these cars are still out there, but they represent a lot of work." Tell me that :-)
  10. Agree. With missing head you cannot distiguish Master from Standard, but the nickel plated headlamps are the clue and also the cross member between frame front noses make it Master Series car. I think this is 28-51 7 pass brougham on 128" wheelbase. Seems bit too long to be 28-47S 5 pass Town Brougham on 120" WB. And yes, this is 28 model with V-fan belt. Pity I am not there over big pond.
  11. Seems I will have four 35x5 tires for sale by summer (they should fit 25" straight side rims). Two issues - the tires are suitable for display car only (I would not dare to drive on them) and they are in Czech Republic, middle of Europe). Customer is buying set of brand new tires for his 1920 Twin Six Packard. Let me please know if this of any interest to you.
  12. Looking for two Firestone detachable rims to suit 35x5 tires. Any leads welcome.
  13. Jim, any chance you have two rims still available? Sent you a PM. Josef
  14. Looking for two useable Firestone rims for tire 35x5 or 34x4 1/2 that is 25" rim. Our rims do not use two piece locking ring (see pos. B and C), just one that forms a well and lock; the principle with triangular shape ring (pos D) fixing detachable rim on the wheel is the same. Any suggestions / leads appreciated, may be from other makes too.<!-- google_ad_section_end --> <FIELDSET class=postcontent><LEGEND> Attached Thumbnails</LEGEND> </FIELDSET>

  16. I have seen lot of period for photos with 28 Buicks from Europe that had disc wheels.....
  17. There was a model within 28 model year, 28-50L factory limousine with divider on 128" wheelbase. Top of the line. Check the type plate that is in engine compartment, right hand side (in drive direction) just next to oil filter canister. Nice find, by the way!
  18. northfieldltd.com - Runningboard Mats
  19. OHV Six Buick Standard being an exception :-) This is not the case though.
