  1. Bobs automobilia. Guess you need to get 1927 Shop Manual and 1928 Supplement. Alernatively I can scan them both for you for few bucks (30?) and send via web storage space, you print them out. Josef at pepcak@volny.cz
  2. Hi, any idea what this case is comming from? Has both latches and dimensions are in centimeters.... Josef
  3. Hi, any idea what are these covers comming from? Thanks, Josef
  4. I would expect at least McLaughlin - Buick radiator badge, such as this one. 1924 McLaughlin Buick Emblem
  5. I have 28 Master and the part looks totally different.
  6. David Corbin is the definite authority here, but I understood that engine numbers in Mclaughlins are part of US Buick numbering sequence; finished cars have their own serial number sequence. I would say that it makes sense that all (or at least major) mechanical parts have been exported from US due to custom reasons also because to ammortise all tooling with lot less cars built in Canada would possibly have been difficult.
  7. In Canada they definitely built more than two 28-49s, as at least 5 of them has survived until today. One is in Canada museum, other one in India, third one in Spain, fourth in UK and 5th in Czech Republic. See under link. http://forums.aaca.org/f165/1928-mclaughlin-prague-257454.html
  8. Michael, the pipe my friend is making is made of thin stainless steel pipe and polished. No need to plate it, the finish is (in my opinion) CLOSE enough to nickel plating. For the price - despite I would like to collect as many orders as possible we are realistic and willing to do them piece by piece. The rough dollar number is in your PM mailbox. Josef
  9. Erndog, sent you a PM. Neil, thanks for feedback, it is really appreciated. Josef
  10. Yes. If you check in detail, the "Buick"plate is riveted to the cap so any other manufacturer could do it same way with his name on. I fact I saw these wheels only on Buick cars. 1928 parts catalogue refers to "Ash" wheels but the hardware on the 1928 car says "Buffalo W.W. Corp", the same as 3 pieces from your picture. I believe the red colour is for Master series cars, while the black one for Standard series cars. I am attaching the picture of the whole set for one wheel + wrench used for A5 wheels. Nice set anyway, would you consider to sell it? Josef
  11. Jon, despite parts for Standard and Master looks the same, 99.9% of parts do NOT interchange. Standard parts are typically smaller in the size. Josef PS. any Master parts available for sale from that junkyard?
  12. I have remains of black in there.
  13. Mike, did you already get your pipe? I think even with surface shipping you should already have it. Josef
  14. Sorry for yet another request - any pictures available of that 31-90 from Czechoslovakia?
  15. Roland, if you have the difficulty to post the pictures, I can try it on your behalf. I would be intersted to see how the heater is assembled, I bought one for my my project and I am not sure how it fits to the car. My e-mail is pepcak@volny.cz. Josef
  16. Roland, what kind of information are you looking for? Technical specifications would be the same as any other US built 30-44. I have seen German built Buick some 14 yrs ago in here in Czech republic, as far as my memory serves it was 1929 model. Do not remember if it was left or right hand drive though... My friend here has another 30-44 that was left in former Czechoslovakia by US army officer.
  17. John, per my understanding the designation "X" was for Flint built export cars. I would say these were typically right hand drive. Canadian built cars could also be either left hand drive (I have one of them - Canadian built, custom re-bodied 28-49) or right hand drive; they should have been considered "British made" to feed British Empire market (and save on duties for US built stuff). What actually surprises me more is the Fisher body tag on Canadian built car; I thought they bring all chassis (tooled) parts there and leave Canada built bodies of their own wood. But I am no expert here. I would also welcome the better / more picture(s) of the car. Does it have disc wheels? Josef
  18. Double slot bolt looks really incorrect here. Through this hole is wooden rail of the body attached to the frame using carriage bolt. This bracket is bolted to the frame rail, not riveted. Leif confirmed above the number is partnumber for the bracket.

Hi, on behalf of a friend looking for any piece of literature (users manual, parts catalogue, service manual, reprints/scans welcome) anything that would help him to complete his car and make it functioning again. Body#:153411-11, engine E 101618. Distributor parts for the car, speedometer clocks, fuel system parts. Thanks in advance for any help. Josef
  20. If the car is Canadian built one I suspect there was not such a plate on the frame rail, only a square one on bulkhead / firewall.
  21. So the pipe is finished and will be sent to Mike this week. I hope you will be happy, Mike. Please let OTHERS know if you are happy; if not, let ME know. I have one more readily available that would fit 1930 Master (per Mikes pattern), so if anybody is interested, let me know. The guy who made it is willing to do more. Need patterns though....
