    wheels off?

    I was thinking Buick 1930?
  2. Dave, you may try to estimate from these pictures. Or ask the guy... Do you happen to know what Olds to look for, seems I will be in need of pistons in few months.... 2 1927 Buick Master 6 Pistons 3 1 2" in Diameter | eBay
  3. Hi, any idea what this 40mm downdraught carb comes from? Looks brand new. Josef
  4. I have read all the comments above and despite being no expert on GMC trucks and 30s Buicks I think we can safely conclude that i) the engine number is 1933 engine; per my knowledge it could still be manufactured in 1932 as the MODEL year 1933 at Buick run from Aug 32 to July 33; Dave Corbin would surely had more data to calculate more precise date of manufacture, but he is not with us anymore..... ii) if it is 1933 engine then it is series 60 engine as the water pipe has 4 legs; series 80 / 90 would have 6 legs (I have supplied it recently for 32 series 80 engine); 33 series 60 pipe seems to be unique for 33, 34 and 35 model year
  5. I have the pattern of water return pipe for 1932 series 60 (4 curved legs, picture attached) and 1932 series 80 engine (6 straight legs). Also have pattern of engine side plates for these engines. I have attached the list of various pipes used in various years.. If your pipe is different to above, I can still reproduce it with pattern supplied. Let me know should you have any interest in new pipe made.

    wheels off?

Looking at the holes pattern, I would say 6 lug. They are on local ad server and even the seller did not bother with these datas.....

Anybody knows what are these wheels off? Thanks, Josef
  10. Hi, recently I have obtained the pattern for Hudson return pipe so if there is anybody interested for replacement part please let me know. We are making them brand new out of stainless steel, bent, shaped and welded exactly as original ones. 11. OK, I have made some progress. The lock cylinder is out, unfortunately of no use, the pot metal parts disintegrated and cylides has no function except of visual presence. Does anybodyknow where to find replacement? Original part would be nice, more durable replacement will help. Any part that can be modified to work will help. Any help is appreciated. Josef
  12. Hi, can anybody advise me how to disassemble ingnition lock? I was about to get the console replated and have keys made (none came with the car). I cannot pull the longer pin out, is there any special "trick" required? Or do I need to simply grind it off and upon reassembly fit a new one? How does the lock cylinder go out? I have drilled the pin out, anything else what is not apparent? Thanks in advance, Josef
  13. So just recently we started 3 pipes for 1929/30 Master Six engine. Anybody interested? Other types can be built too upon pattern supplied. 14. I may build brand new water outlet pipe for you. Need pattern though. Josef Water return pipe for 1920s, 1930s Buick or another vehicle of 20s, 30s | eBay
  15. Looking into a Standard Catalogue - they say STD 28-24 has been built in 4513 and Master 28-54 in 3853 pieces. Standard engines (207 ci) were actually built into 114.5" chassis, while Master engines (274 ci) were built into 120" and 128" chassis. They also say Buffalo wheels were option on Masters only. If the picture caption is correct, then even 28-24 had golf doors. 1928 Buick Model 24 roadster rear 3q | Flickr - Photo Sharing! Yes, you are right, there is nice example still for sale in Netherland Buick Master Six, model 54 Sports Roadster 1928 for sale - PreWarCar and another (not running older restoration) sold in France recently. And, I will add another mouthwatering period picture at http://forums.aaca.org/f170/circa-1929-car-id-tennis-anyone-262836.html Pity my hands are full (and wallet empty) with restoration on my limo, otherwise I would seriously consider it.... Josef
  16. I like Master Roadster too.... Based from what I learned from Dave Corbin (hope is now in the Buick heaven) the engine 2,081,387 is in the batch of 15000 engines from 2,078,500 to 2,093,499. From the same batch came (Master, 28-49) engine of Canadian Royal Tour car now in UK (2,080,521) and also the (Master, 28-49) engine of my car (2,091,312). So I think it is OK to assume the car you saw in ad has Master engine (assuming the engine size was kept for the complete batch). See post #29 in this thread. http://forums.aaca.org/f165/1928-mclaughlin-prague-257454-2.html I do not think anybody is able to asign the particular engine serial nr. to a particular car / or type but apparently we are able to say if the car has the correct engine size in it by type designator. Sport Roadster with Standard engine is 28-24 and Master is 28-54 type designation as you surely know. Pity for me it is another side of globe. Josef
  17. Hi, when trying to duplicate the side mount mirror for my 1928 Buick some brass cast parts got lost. Looking for replacements, basically it is mounting base and the wing nut. Will consider the whole mirror too but must have same style adusting nut and cast brass base for belts. Thanks for any help. Josef
  18. What about Buick? The script looks matching...but the rear springs do not.... 1923 Buick Sports Tourer model 23 - 55
  19. Yep, it seems we will be forced to do so :-) Still, the hinges are needed too.
  20. Still looking for complete doors or door hinges for 3-35 Twin Six 7 pass touring. Need just any (left, right, front, rear) to move forward with restoration. Any help appreciated.
