  1. Yes, I found Dons place. For example for 1134 bulb (32 CP) the only socket specified there is BA15D (dual contact, 15mm dia). There is no single mention about 1/2" socket diameter occurence, not talking availability. I found a vendor on ebay that positively confirms 1134s he has for sale are 1/2" socket diamater. There is other vendor offering 1134s in exactly the same looking factory box and hers are (said to be) 15mm..... My theory is that manufacturers produced 1/2" versions before the common standard 15mm came into place; since then they simply upgraded the sockets to the standard and 1/2" sockets disappeared from automotive world...
  2. On ebay there is few lamps for 28 Buick standard you can use for parts. E.g. Item 151368727004, 400619347816, 121413383378, 161380910096. Some of them are quite expensive I would say. Also the seller brassandgas is parting out quite nice 28-26 coupe, 121417353344 is one from his offerings. Good luck. Josef PS- I understand and like "evelbay" word but for us on the other side of big pond it is almost "blessed place" :-)
  3. I went through tens of automotive bulbs offered on ebay, if they are single filament, dual contact and reasonable candle power, their sockets always were 15mm. I do not want to spend more time with this try and error research, hope anybody here can provide info about the right type to look for.
  4. Have pair of Clymer windshield spotlights, does anybody know what bulb type is used in them? I know they use single filament, dual contact bayonet base, 6V bulbs. I have one original bulb, saying Mazda 6-8V, but unfortunately the type description is wiped off. The problem I have the diameter of bulb the base is not usual 15mm (that would allow me to use standard bulb w/ BA15D base) but something around 1/2". I cannot alter that as the design of Clymer lamp does not allow that. Thanks for any help offered.
  5. They also recomend to install new cover in hot weather so the material is properly stretched....
  6. Mike, I am sure I did not offer anything, I will take it for USD 65 you ask for. Sent you another PM. Josef
  7. I have one almost complete lamp (the steel retainer ring that retains lens unfortunately rusted out completely), but has nice lens, bezel, steel body and retainer "V" clip with screw. Unfortunately I have found out that it is not matching those on my Master model, as with everything, it is smaller. Also the sockets are slightly different, on my Master model is the bulb socket inserted into the female steel part riveted to the main body of brass, while on this small lamp is bulb socket directly inserted into main body with no obvious fastening. Let me know if you are still seeking, I can part with this one. For my Master I need one restorable bezel, lens (nice to have) and the retainer "V" clip with screw.
  8. Mike, I will take it. I sent you PM, you can also contact me at pepcak@volny.cz- Thanks, Josef

  11. Guys, thanks for the responses. I think we can agree upon '"White"= reversing. Question remains open as what to do with "Green" - use it as a normal tail light (where we usually use red nowadays) and connect the "Red" lens as a brake / stop light? Using the "Green" for turn signal could be possible (actually it seems better idea than use it as a normal taillight as green is not used in nowadays traffic at all), but then we have no brake / stop light unless we add extra bulb under red lense. I would still be interested what is the original purpose / setup of these (regardless of implications in nowadays traffic).
  12. Hi, being from other side of big pond, I am not very familiar with tail light used in 1920s / 30s. My friend has a similar tail light that he wants to use on his ~1929 Essex Super Six. But we have no clue what is the function of individual color lenses. Is this lamp assembled in correct order, using white - green - red from left to right? Could you pleae advise the purpose and when individual lights come into action? Thanks, Josef
  13. Mike, I believe 1930 Buick did not use this type of wire wheels. The type offered (attaches with single central ring nut) would suit 26 to 28 Model year, they are 21" size; initally have been offered by ASH wire wheel company, then renamed to BUFFALO wire wheel. Agree that without tire lock rings are unuseable. They also need special hubs for front and rear. I understand one rear hub is available with this lot. Since 1929 and later the wire wheels attached with lug bolts (7?) and may have been supplied by another company. I think we have discussed it here. http://forums.aaca.org/f165/bolt-pattern-1928-wire-wheels-347279.html After some googling this seems to be an answer to the question. http://www.fundinguniverse.com/company-histories/kelsey-hayes-group-of-companies-history/
  14. I have no interest in this sale, but the guy has nice set of ASH / BUFFALO wheels someone here can use. http://www.prewarcar.com/index.php?option=com_caradvert&view=ad&section_id=3&id=90407&Itemid=433 Josef

Welcome to wonderful world of socialism, we experience things like that in European Union very frequently, especiallly in eastern part of Europe. Always there is somebody(European comitee, local or country government....) who knows better what is good for you and tells you what you have to use for lighting in your house, what you have to use to heat your house, forces you to buy green s..t in petrol and zillions of other things like that... I believe that e-bay as a private company realises that this does not help them at all, but who knows what is the real reason for this obstacle.....
  16. It is definitely small series (not Master) car of 1930 model year and if have it right, model year 1930 run from August 1929 to July 1930.
