  3. One guy here has found 2 gearboxes in the shed and wonder what they come from. We identified Vauxhall radiator shell bird, but no luck with gearboxes. We think about Vauxhall too or possibly other General motors stuff, but really no idea.... Anybody here recognises them?
  4. In "what is it" forum someone suggested this is a dashboard from 33 Rockne, is he / she right?
  5. Hi, I am offering Waltham clock, presumably from 1927/28 Packard, see pictures. Missing cover, does not work, but seems to be complete and good order. Email me to pepcak@volny.cz. Asking USD 60, worldwide shipping included. I wanted to use them for my Buick, but found more suitable ones. Josef
  6. In 1930 I would expect to use square nuts and bolts in the wood structure only.....
  7. Look at any racing 8 cylinder Bugatti from 1924-1932. Story say that these engines have to be re-rollered every 10thousand miles or so with undetacheable head....
  8. I found it on The Three Bells Mystery (UPDATE: More about the clock) PhotoZoom - PreWarCar.com so thought that for American stuff is the best option to ask on american forum.....

  14. Pete, sometimes I have trouble to get connection from @volny.cz due to spam filters on either side. Please send them to: josef.kubista@blackdecker.com and I will post them here. Take care Josef
  15. Not much help here, but I would say nothing from former Czechoslovakia.....
  16. You can also recognise STD vs. Master from outside in the front area of chassis. If there is a tubular cross member between front frame noses, then it is Master Six (120" or 128" wheelbase). Engine bay - Master (273 cid) has water outlet by 3 or 4 legged pipe ON the head (the whole lenght, left side) where STD (?204 cid?) has one short pipe from front face of the head (centre) to radiator. Unfortunately none of above features is visible from your pictures. Also there should be a type plate on the right hand side of firewall, Master models are indicated by 28-4x and 28-5x, where STD models are 28-2x type designation. As far I know some STD models also DID HAVE nickel plated headlamp shells, on the other hand STD usually DID NOT have a radiator cap godddess. Hope this help you a bit.
