  1. Ed, The wheels will go on a 1955 Special Clone to a Century ( model 68 ). The centers are the same from 46 (maybe 42 big series) to 1955 ( some 56's) with the guide pin hole, 5 slots and a small round hole next to the slots. The big difference is 5 1/2 " width and 6" width. Thanks Bill
  2. Looking for 15" x 6" Buick steel wheels. I think 48 to 55 are the same ,that is , 5 slots for dog dish caps with a small round hole next to the slot . I will pick them up if you are 300 to 350 from Baltimoe Md. Thanks Bill Lagna Bca 3030
  3. Look on the firewall at the body plate, either 41(special) or 61( Century) Everything else can be added or changed . bill
  4. looking for 15" x 6" Buick steel (painted) wheels , 1955 or earlier ( back to 48 or 47 ). not looking for rusty wheels , but something nice condition that I could repaint. mid-Atlantic would be great! Thanks Bill
  5. The spinner and trishield emblem are after market, not original Buick. You might check Jegs , Summit or ebay for an item like it .
  6. I had some knee problems starting in Sept that kept me from rolling around on the garage floor. After my third operation in Feb , things are starting to look up !!!!!!!!!!!!! Bill
  7. Hi Mark, WOW!!! They did a great job installing the 66 engine in your 56 BUICK. The outside looks as good as it did at the BOOM picnic last summer. The under hood is " OUT OF BOUNDS " , just a great job !!! Bill
  8. maybe someone could post the link. Wild !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. The hood ornament looks Pontiac, the wire wheel covers are Pontiac, The long thin handle is a hood release handle off a 53 and earlier buick and it looks to have a power antenna , (the other switch next to the hood release). I say power antenna because the antenna mast looks muck thicker then a standard antenna. Porthole is easy to add !! Bill
  10. As a long time member of the BCA (BCA # 3030), BPG ( # 1215), and past members of the GSCA (#654) and Reatta divison (BCA), WE all have a common interest , The Buick MOTOR CAR . Being a member of a high performance club doesn't mean that they are all hot rods. Yes I own one of the fast buick wagons around and I enjoyed racing it. I also have a rare 70 Buick GSX that I hate to drive because of the fear of some jerk doing damage to the "X". Our other Buicks include a 55 Special 2 dr sedan model 48 ( soon the be a clone Model 68 Century), 84 Century limited ( with Olympic package) and a 2014 Regal "T". What I am trying to say is that I am a Buick Owner First and a sub title owner second. Many 40's 50's 60's and 70's have rested under my butt and they ALL had special place.!!! As Brad stated above , judging in the BPG was almost as difficult as the crazy Corvette owners with the chalk marks etc etc . I think it was the right move to join the BCA because many member of BPG are already BCA members like myself. thanks Bill lagna
  11. I didn't see mud flaps, I was looking at the "patina" , the car , the car !!!!!!
  12. Hi, I got that model for Christmas in 1954 . It also had a jack and lug wrench (screw driver end ) in the trunk and you could change the tires. From what I remember it was IDEAL toy Co. and was in a similar box as the 1/18th scale models today without the clear plastic . I was 12 and put many miles on it !!! Bill

  14. Sharp 55 century 2 dr on Ebay, has dual exhaust. I emailed him about the manifold and the pipe from the manifold to the muffler . Hasn't respond yet but there are nice pictures on ebay. Bill
  15. 1953 , on google I punched in1953 buick radio delete plate and it shows that same plate on a 53 super. Bill
  16. Back on Ebay at $10900 or offer !!! The video on youtube shows the car as a real barn find, not at all pretty. I think this car would be a good buy if the engine is rebuilt as they state. I have lots of little things going on with my 55 Special or I would be in NC looking it over with trailer intow and a cash offer !!! I need to stop looking at this car !!!!!!!!!!!!! Bill
  17. Its back on EBAY FOR $11800 .
  18. roadmaster that fit 53 Skylark -Front and rear bumpers and attaching parts, grille and mustache and ends, all drive train and frame, hood and trunk lid. dash etc The big difference is the front fenders, rear quarters, cut down doors and front seat top ,rear quarter inner body cur down, roof framing, windshield , I never restored a 53 but owned 3 Skylarks #11 , #756 or 757, and I think #1090 .They are the ultimate BUICK !!!!!! Bill
  19. SOLD , anyone on the board buy it ???????????????
  20. WOW, That's a great old Buick. I sold my 40 Century sedan last year and do miss it . I don't think this Buick will last long, a good cleaning should make it sparkle again and every old Straight eight Buick stored a long time usually needs the points reset, check the plugs and change the oil and with fresh gas , it should fire !!! Hope it goes to die-hard Buick guy and maybe we will see it in ALLENTOWN, HINT-HINT " MR BULGARI " Bill
  21. Beautiful car. I don't understand with all the care taken on detail , the Gran Sport emblem on the left front fender is not in the correct place , its too far forward . Look the right fender .
