  1. Looking for a set ( 4 ) 55 Buick 15" x 6 " wheels in nice shape, surface rust OK . I think 54 to 56 will work for dog dish caps . It would be great if they had the dog dish clips ! Mid - Atlantic area . Driving distance from Maryland . Thanks Bill
  2. Thanks Mike Middleton for the portholes . Got them on the car and they look great cleaned up and painted. Been under some health issues last week ( heart and knee problems ). Will try and post pics under " Me and My Buick " ( MY new 55 Buick ). Thanks again Bill
  3. Mike , Bob's and Cars are both out of stock. Bill
  4. Wanted 2 nice original 1955 portholes email pics and price. Thanks Bill
  5. 84 Century Limited with "Olympic " package including emblems, trunk rack, wheels. pin stripe and logo on seats. 80 k miles all power ( steering, brakes, windows, door locks, antenna, trunk release, ac, amfm ) My father bought this new and it went to my son after mom died in 2007. Runs good but has not been tagged since 07, tires are 80 % tread but old needs headliner. Asking $3250 or offer. located in Maryland Bill
  6. Letters are raised on the caps correct for a couple of years in the mid 50's I Have a NOS set just waiting to go on the car. Bill
  7. LOL Hey Willie , Want to trade for the Century Conv ?????? I love the comments, have owned many buick starting with a 47 Super Conv at age 15 . My first car that I drove to work was a 56 Special 2 dr sedan with Skylark wire wheels painted Tahitian Red ,
  8. OK, First it has a CENTURY emblem on the side , the holes are the same as the special emblem ( just had to do it!) No rust holes anywhere on the car , chrome and potmetal are fantastic , 46k miles , engine and trans are great. Auto trans, p steering , no radio, no clock, no back up lights , standard steering wheel , dog dish caps (I added the trim rings) . History puts the car in Lordsberg New Mexico for most of its life . In the last year or 2 , it went to Phoenix , then to Kentucky, St Louis Mo and finally to my garage. Seats show that the car sat in the sun in the southwest, mostly exploded seats!!! Original thought was to do a Model 68 Century with 4 barrel and 56 left side dual exhaust manifold . At this point I like it the way it is except some interior work Also ,I want to thank Chester Polumbo ( BCA member) for deciding to sell the car to me !! Bill
  9. Thanks Guys , Just bought this 55 and want to do little things that bug me . Not a perfect car but what I wanted , original paint ( very bad Pitina ) no body rust anyplace on the car ,chrome and pot metal " Outstanding ". Model 48 2 dr sedan , title reads mileage exempt but it shows under 47000 miles and the way the engine run and the trans has a positive shift into each gear, I think 47K is true.
  10. Is it necessary to remove the top of the dash when removing the speedometer ? The mph pointer fell off , looks like a tuff job getting to it. Bill
  11. I think cars built out west had blue engines rather then then the green we have on the east coast ????
  12. Bud would have better luck selling his car if he listed it correctly . 1949 Buick "SUPER" model 56S NOT A SPECIAL! Good project
  13. Adam, Nice score ! Can't wait to see what you do with it based on you past cars !!! Good Luck Bill
  14. 1936, not sure of the model, most likely Special.
  15. Mike, That might be the answer , add tripometer and you upgrade to the disk style rather then the needle. Thanks Bill
  16. I have noticed that some 55 specials have the Century speedometer , the one with the painted circular disk rather then the needle pointer. It seems as if Southern and Western Specials have the disk type speedometer. Anyone have ideas or imput ???? Bill
  17. Buick made a couple styles of alum wheels for the Skylarks, 14" . They should be easy to find in the junk yards .
  18. 4400 to 4600 was the factory shift points for stock 401's around 1965. Gran sport Riv's in 65 raised to 5000. Your best bet is good plugs, wire, points and proper working carb. Bump the timing ( also an advance kit in the distributor), make sure the switch pitch switch is working, leave it in drive and go for it! Good Luck Bill
  19. UPDATE !!!! These bugles are heading back to the BCA office for scanning and will be included in the materials available for future use by club members thanks to Mike Book ! GOOD JOB MIKE !! Thanks Bill
  20. I have Buick Bugles dating back to August 1973 . Any thoughts on selling these and a fair price. I thought the best way would be to sell by a complete year ( Jan to Dec ). any thoughts ?????? Thanks, Bill
  21. The trishield is plastic and the base is rubberizedplastic. there is a company that makes a nice base but the emblem is average quality. I sold my last NOS emblem to Brent in January and he was ordering the repo rubberized base in hopes it will work, haven't got an update yet. Bill
  22. Thanks Mike. Collecting parts for a 55 but don't have a car to compare to . Bill
  23. Are all the 55 grille ornaments the same length , Special , Super ,Century & Roadmaster ( the propeller part ) I think the round center emblem is different on the Roadmaster . Thanks Bill
  24. MANY, MANY, MANY BUICKS, 1938 to 2014 ( missing most of the later years ) but including 3 53 Skylarks, 7 65 Rivieras (4 Gran Sports) , many 65 to 72 gs's , The last is a 2014 Regal T , same engine as the GS but lighter car and front wheel drive only , 259 hp out of a 4 cyl turbo , real tire burner !!
  25. Good thing they kept the side windows up to keep the wind and rain from the interior !!!!! I would think this is a rare Lesabre with the bucket seat option.
