  1. "Full Classic" is trademarked by the CCCA, but I absolutely agree with your point, and if one shows it likely will be distinctive.
  2. Credible judging is not an easy job. Marque clubs do it well, as do a few others like AACA and CCCA. But they have judging guides and screened judges. The guy with his shiny 66 GTO who scores 40 points in restored because of deductions for incorrect interior, custom paint, and aftermarket wheels is not happy. The guy with an all original 47 Plymouth sedan loses to the shiny Nova with the LS 350 and velour buckets in show and shine judging but wins in authenticity judging. Good luck!
  3. Suggest "best original/restored" and "best modified" then. But you'll still have the thankless job of sorting sheep from goats. Finding judges that have broad knowledge not so easy. I really like the food voucher idea. You get some new customers in a future visit, and a promotion of your cafe. I like prizes you can eat!
  4. If there is judging, give some thought to the class definitions. Do not mix modified cars with restored and original cars in the same class.
  5. Packard offered a factory option smaller light in the 1940's
  6. I follow you, but there are a number of other makes at least as mechanically sophisticated than the admittedly very well styled straight eight LaSalles. Buick Century for example. Adding all Chrysler Town and Country models was another controversy. 47 senior Packards but not the mechanically almost identical 48-50? It's a fuzzy line. I think the nature of CCCA events and scheduling is a bigger barrier to growth than the eligible car list. Just my opinion.
  7. The Olds-based LaSalles and 61 Caddy set up the main discussion - the 120. i don't see how it won't come in after the LaSalle/61.
  8. The listing for a Packard Six convertible with a custom Belgian body is intriguing.
  9. A friend had one - the reliability was more Rover than Honda.
  10. everything I see looks 41 Plymouth to me, except the "odge". The windshield is flat glass, can be cut to measure
  11. This is also sometimes done to facilitate installing directionals. I generally prefer that additional lights be done without cutting into the body - e.g. bolted to bumper braces
  12. Dodge got grief for the Demon.
  13. At least before the time of Sulla and Julius Caesar, "Dictator" was a person brought in during time of crisis to save the day, then voluntarily surrender their power. Cincinnatus and Fabius were dictators.
  14. Yes, but if it's delusional you won't get the chance to hold the conversation.
  15. I offer no opinion on the seller's asking price. Fords and Chevy pricing is semi-independent of what were competing cars, though. I agree with deac that you can buy a lot more car with other makes. I think you could get a nice Packard. Consider the price of a same year Plymouth also.
  16. If the old title is in your late father's name, get it transferred to your name. You'll likely need a copy of the death certificate and will. This will greatly assist your ability to sell the truck.
  17. There is a difference between the joint flexing and the material flexing
  18. Ettore Bugatti called the Bentley "the fastest truck in the world."
